I spent part of my early evening today at Denver City Park to watch the AFL-CIO We Are One rally. (See the video below)
The purpose of this rally was, according to the web site, to: honor the legacy of the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr.
I contend that if a person were to have attended this rally with out any previous knowledge of who Martin Luther King Jr was; they would have left not knowing that he was a black American who had fought and died attempting to secure equal rights and equal opportunity for black Americans and other minorities who were being denied those rights and opportunities.
Anyone attending this rally without that previous knowledge would have left believing Martin Luther King Jr. to have been a Union boss from New Jersey.

These unions endorse and promote communism. Look at the organizations that support them. Will we never learn? People need to look at countries that endorse socialism and communism and show us in which country it has ever worked.
We’ll learn... but only after the Left has destroyed almost everything.
Only kings and queens get to use the royal 'We'.
Garde la Foi, mes amis! Nous nous sommes les sauveurs de la République! Maintenant et Toujours!
(Keep the Faith, my friends! We are the saviors of the Republic! Now and Forever!)

We need to bring back the Red Books and update them. List everyone that is a known communist and which organization they belong to. Then run them out of the country.
Don’t they mean “We are legion.”
Union rally = *YAWN*
Union leaders, stewards and some members act as Commissars and Enforcers of the Dictatorship of the Progressives in their fight against American Constitutionalism.
We Are One or its abbreviation “We Ao”.
I could have fun there with this sign:
“Not one penny of my $80,000 non-union salary goes to Union Thugs. Sorry about yours.”
Then again it could get me killed.
judging from local coverage of a similar rally, one would infer that Martin Luther King fought to reverse mass transit budget cuts and to raise taxes on energy companies.
They’re one, alright...
Yeah, who knew he was fighting for equal rights for racial minorities?
Apparently the unions and media didn’t know.
We?
"I HAVE SWORN UPON THE ALTAR OF GOD ETERNAL HOSTILITY TO EVERY FORM OF TYRANNY OVER THE MIND OF MAN"
--Thomas Jefferson
EVERY form - especially the "We" form, Comrades.
In an amoral system, this promotion of communism is one way to get your team on top — at least for a while until it collapses and your team is now on top of worthless rubbish.
My dad had a copy of a pamphlet published in the early 50’s by the AFL-CIO titled something like “Don’t Shoot The Piano Player,” and it was adamantly anti-communist.
Tonto to Lone Ranger: “What’s this ‘we’ business, paleface?”
So was the Democrat party. And the public schools. And most of the media.
It was a long time ago...
AFL-CIO We Are One
Like the MOB.
honor the legacy of the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr.
I’m not supprised....King was a Communist.
Denver is filled with wealthy conservatives who hide under their bank accounts in fear of losing stature by challenging these socialists. I do business with many of them and they are oh so proud to send their children off to college not realizing or willing to face that the $$$ gifted to these establishments are now used to brainwash their descendants. Many of whom are now these fools marching for the AFL-CIO. A socialist movement paid for by hard working, freedom loving Americans.
