Until recently, Rep. Michelle Bachmann had flirted with questions about President Obama’s birthplace more than any other potential GOP presidential candidate. In mid-February, the Minnesota Republican Congresswoman said it wasn’t for her to say whether Obama was born in Hawaii or not.
But she’s not following real estate mogul Donald Trump deep into “birther” territory.
That’s “the least important issue in the United States right now,” Bachmann told The Daily Caller in an interview Wednesday.
The move is important because, although there’s ample evidence Obama was born in Hawaii in 1961, a big chunk of the Republican primary electorate continues to doubt Obama’s citizenship.

What Hospital was Obama born at? What was the name of the attending Physician? Why hasn't Obama released a Birth Certificate? Why hasn't Obama released any Education Records? Why hasn't Obama released any prior Medical Records? Why did the Governor of Hawaii say he would produce the Obama Birth Certificate, then drop the issue?
And finally,

I agree with you. Let Trump take this on. I think there is a good possibility the whole thing is a feint by Obama. He might be holding back his BC as a weapon to pull out and bring down a strong opposition figure in the future. There’s a better possibility that there is no BC, of course, at least not one in the USA, but still, the trickster possibility remains.
Let Trump be the one to go out on this limb. There really are about a million other issues that Obama is vulnerable on.
So despite the fact that I am a birther myself, I support Bachmann in what she’s doing here.
The point is to remove him as quickly as possible and, from here, that is the 2012 election. Jump on his policies, not his placenta if you truly wish him gone.
