President Obama's decision to bomb Libya is not even so multilateral as President George W. Bush's decision to attack Iraq. Nor is it ultimately driven by humanitarian concerns -- and certainly not by any vital U.S. national interest.
Despite Obama's vilification of Bush for his alleged unilateralism, "Obama's 'coalition of the willing,'" according to foreign policy reporter Josh Rogin, "is smaller than any major multilateral operation since the end of the Cold War." Obama's Libyan intervention is more unilateral than Dubya's in another respect, as well: Obama has brazenly refused even to consult Congress, much less seek its blessing.
As I argued in my most recent column, this is just the foreign policy outworking of Obama's campaign to fundamentally transform America. Notice the common thread. He is using domestic policies to effectuate "economic justice" at home, trying to cut "wealthy" Americans down to size. Now he is using foreign policy to diminish America's role and stature in the international community to cut wealthy, imperialistic America down to size.

Obama is browning off a lot of lefties in this little dawn odyssey of his, and conservatives pretty well agree it’s not right. The GOP and the Dems could well agree to yank his funding a la Vietnam.

However, you did not mention the word caliphate or concepts in that vein which are consistent with his heritage and over 20 years of understudy with Wright and Farrakhan.
In one deft move obama has embroiled the United States in another middle-eastern hornets nest, and has conducted a coup over Congressional power to wage war. A very dark historical landmark in our political history.

To me? That’s a poor argument, very lame. However, could be very instrumental for other reasons if one wants to work a spin.
There are many more areas far more needy of R2P than Libya.
Heck! They should use it for Israel who has Syria, Lebanon and Iran guaranteeing the demise of Israel, but ~ Oabama and the farcical UN would not see it that way.
This war is about jobs. Get world war III going and US has to build more weapons for NATO .... Good union jobs.
Do we want more GUNS or BUTTER? This is an economic war. Its a War for JOBS, TECHNOLOGY INVESTMENTS, and to Get re-elected as he wants to get people back to work with new jobs in the defense industry when all HELL breaks loose.

Libya sits on three large aquifers of water. Literally underground seas of fresh water. Whoever controls the water will control the entire ME.
