Obama's Weekly Job Approval Retreats to 46%
Gallup ^ | March 8, 2011 | Jeffrey M. Jones

PRINCETON, NJ -- President Barack Obama averaged 46% job approval the week of Feb. 28-March 6, his lowest weekly average since mid-December. Obama's weekly approval rating had steadily improved from mid-December to late January, peaking at 50% during the final two weeks in January, before dropping below that mark in February.

Trend, November 2010-March 2011: Do you approve or disapprove of the way Barack Obama is handling his job as president?

Obama is now essentially back to where he was in the immediate post-election phase of 2010. The decline could be due to a number of issues the administration is dealing with, including the popular uprisings in the Middle East, the resulting higher gas prices, and disagreements with the Republicans in Congress about the best way to rein in federal spending. Obama's Weekly Job Approval Retreats to 46%>p> Lowest weekly average since mid-December

The seven-week period from mid-December through the end of January was the longest stretch Obama has had of stable or improving ratings. Prior to that, there were several periods when his ratings either held steady or improved four weeks in a row, including a stretch from April to May 2009 that saw his approval ratings improve by a total of five percentage points.

Compared with the final two weeks of January, when Obama averaged 50% overall approval, his recent drop in support has come mainly from Democrats and independents. Last week, an average of 79% of Democrats approved of Obama, down from 84% in late January. The president's 43% approval rating among independents is down from 47% in late January, while his approval rating among Republicans is essentially the same (15% in late January and 14% now).

I can understand why clients and employees of the State would approve of the job Obama is doing, throwing spadefulls of our money at them as he is.

But on what grounds would anyone else?

40-43% of the people in this country are liberal/progressives if you examine popular votes in the last 4-5 elections and assign them by the votes they cast. Today 35% of what some might call ‘Americans’ are on the dole (nearer to the 40 or 45% mark if you ask me). Add to that that section of the Democrat, senile, selfish retirees who think he’ll protect their just rewards and you have 46% approval rating easy.

But, all that is okay. He’s done so much so fast the piggy bank is going to bust very, very soon and all this shit won’t matter. What will matter is when they come to take your money, retirement funds, etc. what you do.

In the end there will be another un-Civil War here if the Chinese or Muslims don’t get us first.

With Walker caving in to the unions and obama seemingly invincible, it appears America has little chance to survive these communists and their actions. I pray that I am wrong.

Yeah. Compare our situation today with that of what the MSM lamented ad nauseum, ad infintum in 1992 as the "worst economy in fifty years" in the Clinton victory over George H. W. Bush and your sense of outrage becomes so very legitimate, justified.

If you factor in yesterdays story that 1/3 of wages in the US are from Gov't sources, that puts you at about the 45% he is stuck at with Gov't employees added. He has created a firewall in his polls through handouts at 33%. Not a very good one though. Mid to low 40's consistently in the polls is a disaster for reelection. Those 49-50% bumps seem to be his absolute ceiling.

Vote all damned democrats out. To hell be gone with them all.
Obama is ruining this country as well as many states who are broke with DEMOCRATIC governors are HOLDING BACK state refunds!!! As well as because of the damned mother freaking democrats IRS and refunds held up because of the new forms the dems shoved in there to kiss up to teachers for votes.
Schedule A left column did not translate causing an error of very little of my refund returned to me. So now 16 weeks wait for an amended refund. (The IRS literally told me blame congress for the delay and computer glitch) They are so backed up-— ALL BECAUSE OF THE mother freaking democrats.

When fuel is $5.00+ a gallon how are they going to explain the poll numbers then? Have they thought this one out? They want the price of fuel high, yet his base is going to feel the pain at the pumps along with the rest of us.

Zero could sacrifice babies on the White House lawn on prime time tv and 95% of blacks would still vote for him. Sad but true.

When gas is $5/gallon, look for zero to impose price controls. Rationing tickets will be available for his corporate donors, unions and essential services such as teachers and government bureaucrats.
