Autoblog reports that the Chevy Volt sold 281 units in February, down from 321 in February. Meanwhile, sales of the Nissan Leaf dropped from 87 to 67. The trend seems pretty dismal:
. . . here's the big scorecard for all sales of these vehicles thus far:
Volt: 928
Leaf: 173
Ouch.

Excellent, this story is getting some juice.

So how long until the EPA or somebody makes it the “official” company car and orders a bunch. You know, to “show the way”.
“Hi, I’m the Electric Car, I can’t go very fast or very far.”
Hate to say it (I am no fan of the Dolt), but they are talking about doubling annual volumes from their original plan. They would not be planning that way without some good indication that it willl be a success. And that was before the oil price surge.
Nobody is going to buy these things, except lefty billionaires looking for a fourth or fifth car to impress their neighbors.
Sales will improve when gas hits $5.
Thats what happens when you let a know-nothing idiot who’s never held a real job like Barry Soetoro tell GM how to run its business.
Then why on Barry's 'Green' Earth did GM put a $3 Million dollar Superbowl commercial on this contraption without product to sell?
Numbers still not meaningless - they are pathetic :>)
Mean while plant workers are getting full weekly pay for one day a week work. So please stop worrying about their welfare.
“Lackluster”?
Sales of this pig are in the toilet.
Be damned if I’d buy any damned gub mint motor car no matter how much smoke obammy tries to blow up my ole wazoo.
Because it was your money!!!
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! *wipes eyes* HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!
I doubt that as you can get a car that gets 25% better gas mileage for 50% of the price. It has also been reported that the heater in those smug boxes makes the old VW Beetle seems like a sweat box. There is NO logical reason to by this oil\coal powered car.
I would say that these Obama greenie-cars are the Edsels of the new millennium except for the fact that after 60 years Edsels have collector value, with some selling for $100,00.
In 60 years these greenie-cars and their burned out batteries will be nothing but toxic rust piles in roadside junkyards.
>> Volt: 928
I wonder how many of those were bought by federal, state, and municipal governments.
Sounds very "green" to me. /s
Consumer Reports sure didn’t think much of them.
