When did demonstrating at the private homes of politicians or corporate executives become an acceptable way to voice one’s political opinions?

Nearly two dozen activists from DC Vote swarmed House Speaker John Boehner’s Capitol Hill residence at 7:30 Thursday morning, chanting “Don’t tread of D.C.” and “No taxation without representation” to protest congressional “meddling” in the District’s local affairs, in particular a House continuing budget resolution that would cut $80 million in federal payments and prohibit the city from using local funds to pay for needle exchange programs and abortions.

“Speaker Boehner is coming to our home telling us how to spend our money,” Ilir Zherka, the group’s executive director, told his followers. “We decided to come to his house to tell him to leave D.C. alone.”

After Capitol Police officers blocked their way by using bikes to erect a makeshift barricade, the protestors remained outside Boehner’s home for more than an hour.

Note that this Zherk doesn’t even live in DC

Yeah, not surprising, right?

I looked up the addresses for some of the union bigwigs from SEIU and AFL/CIO. Those idiots also lived outside D.C. in Bethesda and Chevy Chase. HUGE houses on several acres at least. They have fleecing the rank and file down to a fine art.

So this is becoming the norm now that the Republicans have regained some power (ie in the US House, the governor's mansions in WI, FL, etc.). Protest the Republican "enemy" at his home and/or attack his car and other property?

Some FReepers are reporting that Ilir Zherka doesn't even live in DC... I don't have that info confirmed however.

This has to be out of Alinsky’s Rules for Radicals. If this isn’t intimidation, I don’t know what is. The leftists are inhuman while posing as “for the people”.

Sorry, but I don’t disagree with their tactics, and think the Tea Party should have been doing this long ago to the Dems. We NEED TO GET ON THEIR PLAYING FIELD.

It's unfortunate that the residents didn't pay attention when the house read the constitution.

Section. 8.

The Congress shall have Power ...
To exercise exclusive Legislation in all Cases whatsoever, over such District (not exceeding ten Miles square) as may, by Cession of particular States, and the Acceptance of Congress, become the Seat of the Government of the United States, and to exercise like Authority over all Places purchased by the Consent of the Legislature of the State in which the Same shall be, for the Erection of Forts, Magazines, Arsenals, dock-Yards, and other needful Buildings;--And
To make all Laws which shall be necessary and proper for carrying into Execution the foregoing Powers, and all other Powers vested by this Constitution in the Government of the United States, or in any Department or Officer thereof.

Could this finally mean the end of Home Rule?

Shoot ‘em.

Many would whine about it, but I do not disagree with this approach. It would certainly get the thugs to back off if there were sudden, severe consequences for their actions.

It isn't your flippin' money, you liberal idiot. It's our money - the tax dollars stolen from those few of us that still work in this country.

If anyone would like to explain the constitution to Ilir Zherka here is his contact info since he is the leader of this group. I’m sure he’d love to hear from other people about this subject:

Excellent - If it's good enough for the communist goose, it's good enough for the taxpaying gander.

The left is so much like i$lam - they keep getting more and more belligerent until either you crush them like a grape or raise the white flag. There is no middle ground.

Communism and Islam are a united front at this point. The two beasts of Revelation, IMHO.

We’re going to see more of this. People aren’t going to give up their entitlements easily.
They don’t care that we are out of money and in debt, they have been raised with an entitlement mentality and they won’t let it go.
Now that spring/summer is upon us, they will take to the streets.
