Obama rejoices for Egypt

President Obama celebrated the resignation of Hosni Mubarak on Friday, declaring that the president of Egypt “responded to the Egyptian people’s hunger for change.”

“Egypt will never be the same,” Obama said in a statement, optimistically. “But this is not the end of Egypt's transition. It's a beginning. I'm sure there will be difficult days ahead, and many questions remain unanswered.”

Obama called on the Egyptian military, which is now in charge in Cairo, to oversee a transition to power peacefully by protecting the people, lifting an emergency law and revising the constitution. Referring to the Berlin Wall and to Gandhi, he said, “Egyptians have inspired us,” and he praised protesters’ “nonviolence” and “moral force” to achieve their means.

The guy is way out of control...does he actually think people
are gonna make their actions conform to his wishes?...I
would guess the military of Egypt is gonna do what they
think they can do, and not think about whether they adhere to
the jist of of Obamas comments.
He kind of reminds me of someone who was a big fish in a
very small pond, thinking he understands the whole ocean by
extrapolation of the experiences of his tiny puddle.
That’s not to say anyone is much better, but the guy appears
totally pitiful and incorrigible as an executive.

Can someone negotiate a trade, for a "Change Agent"?

Egypt can have The Messiah, and we'll take a used puck bag, even up......

The greatest contribution Americans could make to individual Egyptian citizens at this crucial time in their history would the sharing of copies of the 1776 Declaration of Independence, the 1787 Constitution, and the 85 newspapers essays called THE FEDERALIST written by Madison, Hamilton and Jay to explain and advocate for the principles of the Constitution.

HOw stupid can one person be?

Changing the tinyest tip of a massive corrupt iceberg will change nothing.

The cops will still beat and shake down the average joe, the pols will still line thier pockets and on and on.

The only thing that will change is the amount of misery for the poor - it WILL get worse - much, much worse.

I’m no fan of Mubarak. 30 years is too long as president - or as a congressman for that matter.

But I can’t help but think that as the world piles on he is thinking he is going to get the last laugh. I also think Egypt may have just taken that leap from the frying pan into the fire.

He will take credit for this if it turns out good. If not it will be Bush's fault.

No doubt they have taken a leap of faith. But, it is a chance worth taking.

Now we have to deal with the mess this man made.

I would call him an idiot if this didn’t seem so calculated. I do believe he really is a muslim, and this is all orchestrated to destroy Israel.
