Mubarak Pushed Out in Coup?
big government ^ | 2/10/11 | ap/publius

President Hosni Mubarak will meet the demands of protesters, military and ruling party officials said Thursday in the strongest indication yet that Egypt’s longtime president may be about to give up power and that the armed forces were seizing control.

Gen. Hassan al-Roueini, military commander for the Cairo area, told thousands of protesters in central Tahrir Square, “All your demands will be met today.” Some in the crowd held up their hands in V-for-victory signs, shouting “Allahu akbar,” or “God is great,” a victory cry used by secular and religious people alike.

The military had to get a treaty worked out with the MB. It took a week or so. Look for the police in Egypt to start vanishing without a trace(killed). The MB will slowly take over the police function. A deal had to be struck.

US aid will be split, 70/30, with the 30% going to the MB police.

This is FAR beyond Carter’s incompetence.

To help Obama, the Weather Underground,
and the Moslem Brotherhood,
the MSM have encouraged the Egyptian military
to act OUTSIDE OF THE EGYPTIAN CONSTITUTION.

Wow.

How many Constitutions has the Undocumented Imam
now overturned? Did Kenya have one earlier?

Was the US Constitution not the first he destroyed?
It certainly was not the last one.

The military needs a local intelligence network in the neighborhoods and the places of worship(5 times a day). That will be the MB.

Remember, our definition of order is much different than Islam. Order and peace there means mass organized demonstrations daily to kill jews and western alliances, and constant war with Israel is peace.

Excellent summary.

The important thing for America- from Obama’s point of view- is that Islamification shouldn’t happen until after the 2012 elections.

Then the deluge.

Uh, no. Egypt is a country where 84% of the populace believes that anyone who leaves the Muslim religion should receive the death penalty. The chances of this going "secular" is miniscule.

From now until November 10, 2012 is the community organizing period. The networks, reporting functions, payrolls, lines of communications, databases, and installation of operatives in all the municipalities will be accomplished. Until then, no actual actionable event will be undertaken. Then as you said, Iran will call them into force right after the electins here. If Obamma loses, watch the calamity explode. If Obamma wins, watch the calamity be reported as "winning the future with democracy".

Either way, the outcome is the same.

If I recall right, Obama and his radical, leftist, globalist evil ilk OPPOSED the constitutional removal of a leftist leader in Honduras not so long ago, and now they are supporting what appears to me to be an unconstitutional radical, leftist takeover.

Scary stuff if one can see the big picture in all of this.

Who writes this nonsense?

The same people who thought a well organized radical group of clerics in Iran were going to reform that country when the Shah was deposed. In the end the military will be compromised by the authority of the radicals that will take over the country.

The military has already shown they are compromised to some extent in their refusal to take any physical action against the protesters. The inability to segregate the radicals from the mainstream will be the undoing of Egypt.

Don't be fooled by the MB (fake)outrage over the military taking over. They are not stupid. Transition periods are full of bumps in the road and disappointment. The MB would rather have the military own those issues.

It also buys more credibility for the MB, who will step in as a policing force and social services network.

The crazy stuff comes later.

Frightening!

If history is a guide (I believe it is) I don't see how a representative govt guaranteeing individual liberty, freedom of association, property rights and freedom of religion comes out of this. The people who would seek these things are usually the educated and mild mannered. The people who want Sharia Law to govern the people will kill any who oppose them.

There are reports of Christian services being conducted on Tahrir Square as we speak.

When the young man who helped to create this overthrow as Egypt’s head of Google, Wael Ghonim, a MUSLIM, says his heroes are Zuckerberg and Gandhi, a JEW and a Hindu, we should recognize that something significant is going on and we shouldn’t dismiss it outright.

Here’s Ghonim’s interview last night on CNN. It’s impossible to watch it and not come away thinking we are watching something historic. Certainly the rest of the muslim Middle East must be terrified this could happen to them.

God willing, it can.

Remember, Hezbolah, the PLO, and Arafat were offered everything they asked for when Clinton was working his last attempt at a peace deal under his presidency. Arafat, hezbolah, and the plo all walked away from the deal when they discovered they could have all that they asked for. Clinton was furious.

Islam is all about using the fight to govern. If there is no fight, they have no ability in their game to govern. It's a foreign condition to their ruling culture.

I’m not naive. It could go in several directions.

Do you not see something significant in the fact a muslim is saying his “hero” is a Jew?

They're both bad.

Both are extremist sharia governments.

And, great balls of fire, when a country has both of 'em, the mosques are making that muezzin racket all the dang time.

Because they've had a dictatorship for over 30 years there is no infrastructure for a representative govt with parties representing different people. It takes time to create this infrastructure and belief in the rule of law not the mob.

This young man is a great poster boy for the radicals. He probably naively believes that the radicals will be agreeable to sharing power in a representative govt. The radicals are very clear they want Sharia Law.

We still haven't cleaned up the mess that Carter made in the middle east. Now obozo is making it near impossible.

If the U.S. was exercising good planning behind the scenes we would be seeing a long transitional period and the initial talking points that the transition must be to a representative govt protecting everyone's God given rights. All we see is confusion from the executive branch.

The Egyptian officer corps is a very astute and sophisticated bunch. I will bet the other way. That is that they will use the Ataturk Model and that once order is restored will try, at least, to subdue the Islamicists.

This is a "heart" bet. Not a "head" bet! In a way, the Turks are facing the same problem as Egypt. Exploding low-end populations have given the mullahs and imams an edge on the street.

In the meantime, thank God for the Egyptian military, I hope. Now, how do we get The Mombasa Moonbeam outa HERE?
