In case you didnt see this earlier, U.S. Aerospace is back. You know, the shady company that was disqualified from bidding in the Air Forces $35 billion KC-X contest with Antonov-based designs. Now theyre apparently teaming with Chinas state-owned Aviation Industry Corporation to bid on the Marines VXX presidential helicopter replacement effort.
Apparently, theyre going to offer Chinas knock-off of the half century-old Super Frelon (pictured above) as a replacement for the half century-old Sea Kings that are currently flown as Marine One.
Yup, this one will go far.
Lets see how they get disqualified from bidding this time.

Obama deserves the best helicopter Chinese money can buy.
Who, on paper, owns this fly-by-night outfit?
Link doesn’t work.
Had not thought of that. Yes indeed, we need a chicom helo for obastard.
I hope it works as well as the 200 pieces of chicom drilling equipment being rebuilt at one of our local facilities.
I am sorry.

I thought some Italian company had gotten this contract a few years ago.
“Lets see how they get disqualified from bidding this time.”
You freaking kidding? My comment would be: “Let’s see how they get preferential treatment this time.”
For some reason, I still can’t view your link, but here’s a different link with background information on the ChiCom chopper.
Great, thank you.
:)
“Chinese Chopper” has such a delightfully late night paid programming sound.
It is actually a Hyundai, and it comes with a 100,000 mile, 5-year warranty, even though it is thousands less than a Honda or Toyota.
It is manufactured with Renault and Kelvinator machine tools from plants that the CHICOM bought in Marseilles and Kenosha in the late 1970s. The retro-look riveting and the externally attached doohickeys are particularly impressive, as is the radome/picnic cooler. Cupholders are optional.
Although I am partial to Maytag, I would urge our military not to buy this new chopper until they see what Kenmore is offering late this spring.
LOL!
Well played, Sir!
Except for the Marine crew, I wouldn’t mind Barry flying around, a lot, in a chink chopper.
Leave the chopper. Take the cannoli.
