Carol Browner, an key adviser to President Obama on energy and environmental issues, plans to leave the White House, an administration official said Monday night.
Her departure comes as something of a surprise. Browner had been deeply involved in negotiations over climate legislation, which passed the House but died in the Senate. And she had been a key part of the team helping to deal with and stop the Deepwater Horizon oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico last year.
The administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency for eight years under President Bill Clinton, she had been suggested as a candidate for another post in the Obama White House -- perhaps as deputy chief of staff.
Browner said Monday night that there was "no back story -- it was just time to go." She said she felt "honored to have a second ... chance to serve."

First Olbermann and now Browner. It's almost like a Christmas for Conservatives.

Bummer.
I'd forgotten how much entertainment value she could have added to the Issa Follies.

Get to hot for her? /s
getting out before the investigations show the de-funding of that department is prime time.
“it’s just time to go”

Now now. Taint this just interesting. Their lining up to jump off the ship before it goes into those final swirling motions.

Carol may not have escaped "hearings" but they'll probably be before a grand jury getting referrals from some of the stuff that's going to be dumped on her by "ungrateful" underlings and henchmen!
There's still plenty of entertainment value left in all of this.

I sense a scandal in all this. Why would she or any Obamamaniac leave?

Whoops forgive me. I should have added.
Oooooh Lisa, where are you. Perhaps the EPA goon might have some private talks with Hansen and convince that commie radical environmentalist to decide to retire to, before NASA might be forced to tell him to take a hike for embracing them for so many years. And then of course step down herself. You know. Job fatigue.

The climate change/global warming czar is out. I wonder if the current arctic blast in New England has anything to do with it?

Thanks instead to the engineers and risk takers who shut it down. To those few who actually do things in this world people like this bitch are nothing but parasites.
