Posey still deciding if he will reintroduce presidential birth certificate bill

U.S. Rep. Bill Posey, R-Rockledge, has yet to decide if he will reintroduce legislation that would require presidential candidates to present a birth certificate — or other such documents — to satisfy the constitutional requirement that candidates are citizens.

"He's still evaluating the bill," said his spokesman, George Cecela, on Monday.

Supporters of the bill, which includes a faction referred to as "birthers" for their contention that President Obama was not born in the United States, have been urging people via blogs to email Posey to reintroduce the bill.

First introduced in March 2009, the bill received little support even from the GOP members of the House before it died with the ending of the Democratic-led Congress.

Posey has said wasn't questioning President Obama's legitimacy to hold office. However, because of constituents' concerns, he wants to require future presidential candidates to document their citizenship when filing for the office.

Every state should have had such a requirement long ago. We have to have a birth certificate for our children to play Little League ball, so it is not asking too much for candidates to produce documentation to run for office.

I had to produce a birth certificate for employment.
I also had to be fingerprinted. What is the BIG deal -
Obama should produce the birth certificate - rather than fight tooth and nail to keep in under wraps; assuming a certificate exists.

They always mis-state the real contention: that brocko's past is a mystery. His documentation is questionable, to say the least; and inquiring minds want to know. If he weren't in the White House, it wouldn't matter; and if the lamestream media would've done their jobs, we wouldn't have to.

I agree. I cannot understand why at least some red states have not done this already. All it would take would be for a few states to do this.

I seem to remember Pelosi had to submit a different certification for one state. There must be one requiring an affidavit...they just falsified it? Why not just do it to all of them then?

What possible rationale could a congressman give for voting against such a bill?

Look at the documentation that you need in New Jersey just to renew your driver's license.

Obama is allowed to be the President of the United States, but he probably couldn't get a driver's license in most states.

Little League Baseball would be out of the question, even for a 12 year-old Barack Obama (or Barry Soetoro.)

I read online that he was savaged with ridicule ans abuse the first time he introduced it. Maybe some emails of encouragement are in order.

There are clear requirements to be POTUS in the Constitution so proof that all candidates for POTUS meet these requirements would make total sense. I cannot believe that anyone other than partisan Democrats trying to hide Obama’s past would object.

I would just like to know who was Obama’s best friend over the years? They should know a lot. Or, didn’t he have any?

It is not unreasonable.

If needs such a document to join the military, then one should have such a document to be Commander in Chief, eh?

Arizona House OKs Bill Requiring Presidential Candidates to Provide Birth Certificate

Published April 22, 2010 | FOXNews.com

Arizona will decide whether Obama gets reelected

http://www.examiner.com/conservative-in-phoenix/arizona-will-decide-whether-obama-gets-reelected-or-not

How does the state of Arizona have the power to decide Obama chances for re-election?

During the last midterm election Russell Pearce was elected president of the senate and he has vowed to bring the eligibility bill up for a vote. The odds of passage are very high which means the issue of Obama’s birth certificate will be front and center for the 2012 elections. Not only that there are other states drafting the same kind of legislation.

Indictments need to be handed down, arrests made, and
trials held for all who contributed to the fraud that is
our sitting President. Pelosi knowingly signed off on a
false document and she wasn’t the only one who knew.

While we're at it, let's have all
members of the House and Senate
also submit proof of citizenship as might
be expected of any other US citizen.

Posey doesn't need this bill. He, Posey, as well as everyone else in Congress is already COMMANDED by section three of the Twentieth amendment to verify that the eligibility status of a President-elect is qualified or they, Congress, must name an interim President. Posey can ask for the proof that this verification indeed took place and if so, what paperwork was provided by the President-Elect to qualify as "eligible".

If this verification did not occur, we have a Congress full of traitors. Period.
