The Washington Post is engaging in online political activism by encouraging its readers to boycott news coverage of Sarah Palin.

The Post has picked up the call initiated this morning by Post columnist Dana Milbank, adding a Twitter link on the column page. The link generates a message to be sent from a Twitter member’s page that reads, “I’m making February a Palin-free month. Will you join me?”

The Post added the Twitter link to Milbank’s column this afternoon, several hours after running and pulling a Washington Post online poll about boycotting Sarah Palin news coverage. The poll initially accompanied The Post’s Milbank op-ed but was pulled within hours of publication at WashingtonPost.com.

Perfect. Now let’s see if they can really control their self imposed exile.

Oh Great. A major offensive by the intellectually handicapped.”””

A method to be known in the future as the “Ostrich With It’s Head In The Sand” syndrome.

No wonder the newspapers are going out of business.

Bad enough there is a “news editor” in every paper & other Media channel that disects the news that gets to the locan citizens, but this is really stupid.

Let them bang heads driving themselves insane boycotting Palin and Bachmann. Nobody reads the compost. The Compost should be revisit they’re job of vetting Obama and reporting the news. But they won’t because the media and Obama have declared political, class and race war and they can’t raise a white flag false moderacy just to get him elected again,it won’t work.

That brings to mind that old philosophical riddle, "If a tree falls in the forest and there's no one there to hear it, does it make sound?"

Howsabouts a Dana Milbank Free Forever? Perhaps spread the joy and include Gene Robinson. They both can go edit HOA newsletters.

HOA? Hoary Old Americans? Humdrum Orotundities Alliance? Home Oligarchs Association?

I'm just guessin', here...

Wouldn’t it be deliciously ironic if sometime during their boycott Gov. Palin were to announce the formation of an exploratory committee to consider a presidential candidacy? Not an announcement that she would actually run, mind you, just the formation of the committee.

“Exploratory, draft or ‘testing the waters’ committees are formed solely for the purpose of determining the feasibility of an individual’s candidacy for office. The activities of exploratory committees may include polling, travel, and telephone calls to determine whether the individual should become a candidate.”

These committees are common practice as a preliminary step before an actual presidential campaign is announced. It is, however, major news when one of them if formed, and these idiots would have to break their boycott to report it.

Heh, heh, heh...

Actually, this is genius. The MSM, which is bashing her, is going to shut up and the rest of us can go along with our blogs and alternative news sources unfettered.

Exactly. Eventually they'll figure out that they're shooting themselves in the foot. Maybe.

I have seen the news blackout tactic used against the Tea Party. We had 5 thousand show up for a rally for the Tea Party Express on a Friday night. Not one word about the event was printed in the papers or on the broadcast news. It was like the event never happened.

We must face a fact of life: The State Owned Media, or what Sarah Palin refers to as the Lame Stream Media, is part of what I call Big Government America.

This tactic is an escalation of what we have seen before where certain important details are omitted from a news story in order to slant it against those who are in opposition to Big Government America.
