Hey, is this an unverified report, and am I slandering a man without waiting on evidence and confirmation?
I learned that from the media.
This is the claim. We'll see if it's true.
Jared Loughner has been making death threats by phone to many people in Pima County including staff of Pima Community College, radio personalities and local bloggers. When Pima County Sheriff’s Office was informed, his deputies assured the victims that he was being well managed by the mental health system. It was also suggested that further pressing of charges would be unnecessary and probably cause more problems than it solved as Jared Loughner has a family member that works for Pima County... Every victim of his threats previously must also be wondering if this tragedy could have been prevented if they had been more aggressive in pursuing charges against Mr. Loughner. Perhaps with a felony conviction he would never have been able to lawfully by the Glock 9mm Model 19 that he used to strike down the lives of six people and decimate 14 more..,,
The Pima County Sheriff’s Department was aware of his violent nature and they failed to act appropriately. This tragedy leads right back to Sherriff Dupnik and all the spin in the world is not going to change that fact.
If the basic factual predicate there is true, the motivation and actions alleged make sense -- if you've dropped the ball, badly, and that's led to six murders and multiple grave injuries, damnit, you'd better start soliciting political allies and dreaming up faraway scapegoats.
Corrected: I got confused from the multiple retractions of how many had died and wrote "two." Six were killed, more gravely wounded, and more than that wounded.
This is the common denomenator that if followed could unravel the whole Dupnik slander machine and bring the leftist house of cards down.
Translation: He didn't threaten any of my allies or benefactors. He only threatened the small people.
This is like the new bill being floated by Democrats to make it a crime to use threatening language or symbols AGAINST CONGRESSMEN OR FEDERAL EMPLOYEES?
Why not make it a crime against everyone? I want to be protected against threatening langauge and symbols, too! Wouldn't you?
Why should only the political class be singled out for this kind of protection?
It seems that this sheriff only protects his fellow Democrats or state employees.

This popped up on another thread: Randy Loughner works for the State of Arizona’s Child Protective Services. (I don’t know for sure this is true as I’ve no way to verify it.)
The Sheriff may have dropped the ball but not because of mom being a fellow county employee; it may be because of Jared’s dad.

What have I been saying? That in point of fact the Sheriff had every opportunity to stop this assault by actually enforcing the law and didn’t do so.
Well now the truth is alleged to be this..... it’s much worse, it appears, than anyone thought:

What’s your response to this Mr. Dupnik? A bit of truth comes out, eh? Exactly how many felonies did you decline to investigate and prosecute? Are you going to slink away from the white-hot light of truth or will you “man up” and admit that your scurrilous allegations were disseminated simply to try to save your own hide from the entirely-appropriate wrath at the ballot box that is certain to ensue come next election?
The suspect didn’t just post one threat on an Internet forum and there wasn’t “just one” incident - it’s alleged here that he made multiple death threats against the staff of the college he was ejected from, radio personalities and local bloggers.
Each and every one of those threats was an offense and had just one of them been prosecuted it would have resulted in the suspect being blacklisted in the NICS database - and thus he would not have been able to buy the gun he shot the people in Tuscon with.
And before you go off on this guy and his blog being some sort of nut, here’s the credentials from his page:

Does Arizona have a recall process for so-called “elected officials” who behave like this and refuse to accept responsibility for their conduct - including but not limited to blaming others for their own failures that result in the death of innocent people? How about some sort of impeachment procedure? If you don’t, you need both - right now.

No I didn’t know that thanks hp. Boy oh boy the truth is completely different then how the mainstream news and the left portrayed things. That makes me so mad because you know how some people are they believe it because it was reported on TV and I doubt the mainstream news will make corrections.

I wonder if we'll learn more about his precise work in Child Protective Services ---- and I'd like to know if he ever tried to get some help for his obviously severely disturbed son??? NO wonder the parents are in "hiding" and won't even make a comment to the survivors of the victims.

Guy was guilty as sin ~ he will need more than a couple of lawyers for this one. Same with a couple of judges who allowed this to slip ~ we just don't know their names but we have a Juran Vander Sloot event underway!

Just curious, this thread (link below), comment 95 appears to have a legitimate Facebook profile that was scrubbed within minutes of the correct spelling of Loughner’s last name...Interestingly, the screenshot (top of page) says that Jared himself “has worked at Child Protective Services”. If this is legit, then did they both work there, or is the father possibly being mixed up with the son?
