Women who have had or work with women who have had abortions are reacting to the contorversial MTV show, No Easy Decision, featuring a teenage girls abortion decision.
They represent the Silent No More Awareness Campaign, and they say they and other post-abortive women reacted with sorrow and disappointment to the show, which showed an abortion business misleading women about the development of the unborn baby.
My heart broke for Markai, not just for her difficult situation, but for the lack of counseling she received, said Georgette Forney, a co-founder of the group who has had an abortion of her own.
This abortion decision was driven by economics, but no one told Markai about the help available to her from pregnancy resource centers. No one told her that this didnt have to be Sophies Choice, having one child die so the other could live, she told LifeNews.com.
Janet Morana, another co-founder of the post-abortion womens group added: The abortion clinic told this young woman to think of her unborn baby as a little ball of cells. It was yet another example of so called abortion counselors acting as unethical salesmen, telling women anything to influence them toward abortion.
Alveda King, a spokeswoman for the organization and the niece of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., also weighed in on the show. She knows about the devastating physical and mental health aspects of abortions, as she has had and regretted two abortions of her own.
I ached for Markai, she said. Before one of my abortions, Planned Parenthood told me that my baby was just a clump of cells. Decades later, this beautiful young mother was told the same lie. I pray that Markai and all women like her will seek true healing and restoration from a caring post-abortion program like Rachels Vineyard.
Forney, who had an abortion herself at age 16 and strongly regrets her decision, says women who are victims of abortions dont normally receive any support or help from the abortion business afterwards, or down the road.
My experience is that women who miscarry are usually given a small window of sympathy, but women who have abortions often resort to using drugs and alcohol to cover up the pain because the people who told us it was ok to abort our babies, dont want to listen to our crying afterwards, Forney explained.
A study published in the May 2003 edition of the Canadian Medical Association Journal reviewed the medical records of 56,741 California Medicaid patients. It revealed that women who had abortions were 2.6 times more likely than delivering women to be hospitalized for psychiatric treatment in the first 90 days following abortion. Rates of psychiatric treatment remained significantly higher for at least four years.
Another prior study in the British Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology of post-abortion patients only 8 weeks after their abortion, researchers found that 44% complained of nervous disorders, 36% had experienced sleep disturbances, 31% had regrets about their decision, and 11% had been prescribed psychotropic medicine by their family doctor.
Some 30 studies over the last five years show abortion hurts wmoens mental health.
That's exactly what the abortionists do.

did anyone expect Mtv would do something right?
May God bless Alveda King. She is a brave and compassionate woman.
MTV is lacking in morality.

Seriously? Abortion on demand was the only policy he showed any passion about while he served in the Illinois Legislature. We know he voted 'present' over one hundred times - in order not to establish any documented trail (and also because he was probably too lazy to study the bills ... or he flat out didn't care) - but when a bill was presented to protect babies that survived a Late Term abortion (I guess this occurs when the murdering attendant 'missed' with his scissors plunge into the baby's brain during the delivery) - The O'Bummer led the effort to block the bill...
The only thing he fought for during his service in the Illinois Legislature.
What a guy.
Just had a young friend who went through with an abortion. I tried to talk her out of it, but she also was told at the clinic that it was “at this point” just a mass of cells and therefore took some sort of pill that made her spontaneously miscarry.
She had a boyfriend who was too worried about what his parents would say and she also was worried about disappointing her parents. She and her boyfriend are both over 25 and have good jobs.
Women are easily duped, but they also choose to believe things that make their lives “easier” in the short term.
Politicians are liars and panderers; and especially this one. Do you think he could have gotten elected dog-catcher if he weren't outwardly pro-abortion?

So are guys.

That, and his skin coloring. White liberal guilt twisted Martin King's admonishment to focus on one's character rather than his/her's skin melanin content -- to focus on the person's skin coloring rather than their character.
I'm still amazed that anyone who came from that Wright TUCC church could have been elected dog catcher. Their 'About Us' statement was pure blasphemy that raised up race as their god - rather the True Living God and Saviour Jesus Christ.
Idolatry.
