GOP Sen.-elect Rand Paul said Monday that he wants to attach spending cuts to every major piece of legislation that comes before the Senate next year.
Paul (Ky.) who won his race with strong support from the Tea Party movement said he will "pressure" Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) to take simple majority votes on spending cut amendments in the next Congress.
"I think that every piece of major legislation that goes forward from now on needs to have attached to it spending cuts," Paul said during a podcast with conservative blogger Ben Domenech. If Congress is serious about the nation's ballooning debt and deficits, Paul said, "We have to be serious and introduce spending cuts.
"That's one thing that I will do when I am there, is introduce it at every opportunity and we will have votes on it," he said.

Great news Mr. Paul you have my support!
You betcha’!
These guys like Rand Paul and Jim DeMint are worth 10 Mitch McConnells. This is what I want, a 24/7/365 fight against statism. No quarter. No compromise.
That’s a good speech...
Now DO it.
Great—so is he gonna walk the walk, or be more like his old man and talk a good game, but load up on the pork?
Next: Attach removal of one government program or agency as a component to every 'major' piece of legislation.
He can ATTEMPT to attach riders to every piece of “Major Legislation”, but that does not guarantee that any of them will be adopted.
Pinky Reid will be doing all he can to discredit and marginalize all conservatives and conservative idea’s!
While we are at it, Congress can reclaim the power it has capitulated to the president by limiting the power of the many agencies he has under his control by attaching the following to every piece of legislation:
“No government agency, organization, or entity created by Congress in the past or future shall have legislative or judicial powers. For the purpose of this amendment, legislative power shall be construed to mean the making of any rule violation of which renders a citizen, legal entity, corporation, or company of any state or the United States to imprisonment, fine, excessive or punitive fee, or other punishment. Judicial power shall be construed to mean, the holding of any evidentiary hearing not presided over by an Article III court or the issuance of findings which result in imprisonment, fine, or punishment of a citizen, legal entity, corporation, or company of any state or the United States.
Under this law, all current rules implemented by any government agency, organization, or entity created by Congress that has legislative or judiciary powers as defined above will become null and void five years from the date of passage unless approved by normal constitutional means.”
Last sentence, change 5 years to 5 months and it sits ever so much better!!!
I considered something like that, but I think you can get more people on board if the process is gradual.
and.......before passing any new laws, two, old, useless laws have to be eliminated.
Sen. Paul, yo’da man! USA gov must be reset to constitutional size, aka power.
