I’ve been voting straight Republican (aside from a couple of Libertarian votes long ago) since 1978. But the Republican establishment lost me in 2010. In the future, I’ll be voting only for Conservatives, and I’ll be ignoring RINOs completely. I imagine that may hurt the GOP: I don’t care.
The Va. Tea Party Chairman is running for the Republican Senate Primary in ‘12. The Tea Party thing works in ‘12 or it’s probably CWII.
I have to agree. I voted for the frying pan over the fire. We will have a chance to bag more RINOS in 12.
If that doesn't change it's a lost cause.
It is time the GOP realizes that the voters do not work for them, rather they are supposed to work for their voters. They’ve had the luxury of it being backwards for far too long.
I could see under W. that the party was finished. There were many that saw it in 2001 yet I stuck with him and the party. After his reelection it was plain. The Republican party is counter to many if not most conservative interests. Not saying the party doesn’t have some fine conservatives but the party isn’t run by them. The Blue Blood RINO bastards run the party and they are in bed with the socialists.
Yup. They’re a bout to take over the House, the rat President is still less than popular but they are “finished” yes. They weren’t finished in the 30’s when they had 1/4 of Congress but they are now, u-huh.
It is too stupid, ignorant and corrupt to remain a viable Party.
Second, the good guys haven't yet arrived in the House. If the House simply refuses to ratify Senate nonsense, that will help. It will help more if they also refuse continuing resolutions. It will help most if they stand firm in reconciliation meetings and say the Senate is welcome to accept our bill...period...end of reconciliation.
If they don't do these things, I agree, the Party is finished. You won't be able to see the ruins, though, because they will be camouflaged among the ruins of the rest of the country that is just as finished.
Its called the RinoCrat Oligarchy. Its primary loyalty is to the two legs of fascism....Wall St. and K St.
They declared civil war on FLyover Country decades ago.
Don't get mad. Get even.
I have always only thought of the Republicans as what they are: The lesser of 2 evils.
This way, the disappointment is easier to swallow.
They have until the end of 2011 to convince me that they have really turned toward real and true conservatism. They also have to convince me that they are truly making a serious effort to overturn any (and every) non-constitutional action the government has done over the past 100 years.
At the end of 2011, I will make the decision whether to dump them in lieu of a serious third party that will do what I expect.
Democrats = 100% Commie
Republicans = mostly commie with a few members who try vainly to be conservative
Tea Party = mostly conservatives and a few commie infiltrators who think nobody is noticing
HAD ENOUGH?
I heard this on Beck last night and he was repeating what was the slogan of some Republicans in the 1940's
It is akin to the "Are you better off today then......!"
Moreover, it is generic and can be used against all incumbents, especially those who we want to oust from both parties.
If the republican senators don’t come together in the new session and vote in our interests, I’ll certainly be finished with them.
GOP is dead to me, unless I see a Leadership a substantive change, pure and simple.
THe Bushes, and their fellow travelers have brought us to this point.
McConnell isn’t cutting the mustard in my book.
The lame duck was just the continuation of the politics that brought us Obamacare. What I am watching closely:
1) Will the Senate reliably filibuster Harry’s socialist BS now that we have a buffer of 8? Are there more than 8 RINO’s left that don’t get it?
2) Is Boehner a conservative or a Republican? Does he have the spine to take the battle to the liberals? Does he understand doing nothing is better than compromising? Take the mandate and drive them back on their heals. Shut government down if he has to.
If he takes a path of compromise, I fear the tide will turn against the Tea Party for 2012.
