Larry King Rips Hannity, Maddow:'What They Are Are Preachers'
The Daily Caller ^ | 12/26/10 | Jeff Poor

Posted on 12/26/2010 1:12:26 PM PST by Nachum

Both Fox News Channel’s Sean Hannity and MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow offered their best to outgoing legendary anchor Larry King on Dec. 16, his final broadcast night. But how does the outgoing CNN anchor feel about them? On CNN’s Sunday broadcast of “Reliable Sources,” host Howard Kurtz asked King about his competitors, which he was third to in the ratings at the tail-end of his career. King admitted they were good at what they did, but said he didn’t particularly care for it. “They got better ratings,” King said. “However, I don’t regret anything and I’m happy with what I did.

Sound to me that Larry did not want to leave.... Perhaps CNN told him to retire or get fired?

But the crushing blow from King came when he said Hannity and Maddow are preachers don’t learn anything from their guests.
LOL! A "crushing blow"? From Larry King?? Too funny!

Larry King Dead and the newly-engaged 84 year-old Hugh Heffner should get together for lunch to compare notes on political, mental and erectile disfunction.

Then they can fall asleep in their tea cups and the bus boy can steal their credit cards.

Larry King was a big ass liar just like Buffet. Both said in first person “I should pay more taxes.” Both meant in third person that Jim should pay more taxes. They have the ability to choose. Their choice was tyranny.

King seems to have fancied himself as a journalist and an expert on the media. He is neither.

I’m glad to say that I managed to miss the whole Larry King thing. Other than seeing him make cameo appearances on movies, I’ve not suffered his banality.

I believe he did the nasty with his sister-in-law. Real classy, Larry, real classy. One more thing, you would have had better ratings if you'd had more Carrot Top and Liza Minnelli hours...those were must see TV.

That’s not just your opinion. When he did radio 20+ years ago, he was the typical radio host, which meant he was way left of center.

Back then, there was little to counter that ideology. Then came Rush (whom King has made derogatory comments about) and the rest is history.

King was never even a good interviewer, but he did persevere.

Well, I wouldn’t call it a “crushing blow”, but King does have a point.

Hannity is entertaining, but I never tune in expecting any sort of serious debate. He’s very much a talking points guy, and he tends to talk over his guests regardless of their views.

Maddow, of course, is a complete leftist shill. The only difference between her and the likes of Olbermann and “Sgt” Ed Schultz is that Maddow is smart enough to put on a phony “journalist cap” when she spins.

I had a late night paper route for years, and listened to King to stay awake. It was the only thing on, and even then his style and substance were boring and really boring. He was the original man that when asked a question he did not want to answer, would just hang up. In short, he has the “nads” of gender bending female, and the journalistic integrity of 0prah.

King has long said his style involved doing as little talking as possible during interviews...

BS. And he was even worse on his radio show. He bullied his callers constantly.

why the HELL would hannity offer his best to larry king? Seriously? Why not just let him ride off into the sunset. Just because larry was retiring doesn’t mean everyone in the world is sad or cares.

All three of them are dead as far as concerned.

Hannity, O’Really and Beck are un-watchable and in the same league.

Thank God for Rush and Levine.

... mmmm, you haven’t even watched Beck if you think that. Rush hasn’t even put out a tenth of the hard news connections that Beck has presented on Soros alone... and Rush stays away from even criticizing Fat Ted before he died, whereas he used to have Shanlin lambasting him regularly. Beck outing the avowed Commies in O’s pack is a huge public service that the so called conservative hosts are too chikin chit to touch....

ymmv
