I am confused. Will someone please enlighten me why it is bad to force such carriers as Comcast to not censor the content of web sites they carry, i.e., refuse to carry the web sites? I can understand the furor over porn on the Internet but to ban some web site because of its political views or ethnic makeup or religious views or, etc., etc. does not make sense to me.
I can also understand shutting down web sites that steal property such as songs and stories. But much beyond that seems to be to be in realm of free speech and should not be discriminated against.
Am I reading the comments all wrong?
Thank you

They can threaten all they want. Until both houses of congress pass it, and 0bama signs it, or doesn’t and it becomes law - it don’t mean shinola.

Restrict freedom and create jobs...yeah that will work.

Well, Boehner said he is going to do something about this.
Is it all hat and no cattle? You be the judge. I just don’t know.
The fact that they are GOP doesn’t make me feel a whole lot better.
I want actions that result in severe action, not just talk.

I pray that they repeal this one. I could not believe my ears this morning listening to the radio. Last time govt. got involved in anything it was just a mess.

They’ll do no such thing. They’ll pass some irrelevant crap that they’ll claim fixes the problem when the way to really fix the problem is stop funding the FCC until they yell mercy.

Yea, there is a backbone in the Republican Party! Good for them and the American people want to see A LOT more of this next year. Drag those power hungry agency bureaucrats / tyrants before Congress and slash their budgets so they can’t do as much damage.

One more thing, how do you repeal something that was never made a law? I would suggest arresting and taking those who participate in defying the Constitution to be tried and made to pay a price.

The members each threatened to limit the agency's funds or restrict its jurisdiction in the aftermath of the FCCs vote, with Boehner proclaiming the "new House majority will work to reverse this unnecessary and harmful federal government power grab next year." Sounds great, but the GOP is always great with the tough talk. Let's see what happens when they get control of the House and media attention is onto the next story. My prediction is they'll do nothing and hope the public forgets.
