A fresh Gallup Poll released this morning reveals that somehow 13% of Americans still approve of the job being done by Congress. The new Gallup survey did not identify those people, understandably. However, even though it is a surprisingly high number given the work not done there in recent years, the 13% is a record low job approval for Congress since Gallup began compiling such data in 1974. The same Dec. 10-12 survey finds a record high 83% of Americans disapprove of the job being done by the folks on Capitol Hill, also the worst

Those 13% are the BRAIN DEAD among us....and they probably help the DEAD Vote
They shouldn’t have polled the Congress......
Black Ameericans make up about 12-to-14% of the population.
Coincidence?
Not at all. If youre a looter/slacker who never bothered to hold a steady job and now youll be getting free health care, why should you be unhappy? If youre an illegal and youre good at gaming the system, why not? Whats not to like?
Hmmm, well uh maybe, maybe not!
who are the 13 percent? thats just about retarded. Even far left dems disapprove. Mostly because congress isnt left enough, but they still dont approve.
Nor really shocking. Add up federal workers, media employees, Congressional staffers, interns and permanent campaign workers. That could be about 13% of the country, considering the size of this bloated govt.
my thoughts exactly
What about the % of “Hispanic” or “White Trash” population?
i like where your heads at.
The 13% braindead are those who think Congress’ job is to hand them benefits.
That must be the 13 percent who are here illegally or otherwise bleeding the rest of us dry by taking all those entitlements.
Sure..communists, loons, misfits, whackos, uberlibs, putzs, and those just too stupid to see whats going on.
Don’t worry - approval will drop to zero immediately after news of the failure of the Dream Act hits the spanish language media.
Government employees, every one. If you count all the unionized workers in the formerly private sector, you easily get 13%. In fact, you probably get more than that.
Why is this surprising? As long as they get their CHECKS, they’re happy!!!!
There are a lot of leftists registering their disapproval here, don’t forget that. A lot of Americans are upset that Piglosi and company didn’t move the country left enough fast enough.
Basically, this poll means nothing.
What really matters are the election results, which were good for us last month and will only be good again in ‘12 if the newly elected R’s, and the R’s already there, show some real backbone in this next session of congress and do what real voters really want.

According to the Census Bureau, thee 2006 Hispanic pop. of the US was around 14.6%.
