I've been watching History Channel's "thomas Jefferson" this morning (still on...). They made sure to make a big deal about his black slave/concubine, and made reference to the fact that it was a "common practice" in the South.

My family is from NC (by way of Scotland), and never owned a slave, much less had concubines. It never ceases to amaze me how the leftists try and slant everything in every situation. That is what is being done to Mrs. Palin.

President Palin will undoubtably make a big mark on history, not because she is a woman, but because of what we believe in America. She will help to guide us back to that path, IMHO. We need a National Mom at this point (and I am a 63 yo WASP heterosexual male), with priority on the children.

Not the pretense of "doing it for the chil'run, but a restoration of the culture of the family. Mine is not the best, since I am divorcing my second, 24 year younger wife, but my children have gained from my mistakes. Our national mistakes will destroy their futures unless something happens SOON.

I am glad we have this site, FreeRepublic, and I appreciate that JimRob is onboard with this hope for our collective goal (don't you hate the perversion of that word). That said, the only hope we have is to be united and strong. When the PDS'ers show up, we need to quit arguing their insignificant challenges, and try to let their threads die quickly. They will likely soon tire, if not given the opportunity to slant things. I have taken up a campaign of posting a photo of Mrs. Palin and/or her family photos, along with a simple Palin 2012 post. I invite you to join that approach and ignore their taunts. The will not like to see her in any positive IMAGE.

We don't need to continually refute those DNC talking points. We just need to make sure everybody knows our choice. Post words from her FB or Twitters, and let that make the best tactical response. She says most things well, and I have yet to be disappointed, even when they cut and paste.
