Comedian and self-proclaimed “D-lister” Kathy Griffin hosted VH1 Divas Salute the Troops which was taped for an audience of servicemen at the Marine Corps Air Station in Miramar, California, and aired last night. The ribald and unconventional comedian set the tone for the night when she joked about Bristol Palin and her supposed weight gain while competing with Dancing With The Stars. But the joke fell flat, as the military men and woman in attendance lustily booed the host for taking a shot at Sarah Palin’s daughter.
Ms. Griffin has used the Palin clan for her “comedy” material before. Last summer, while filling in for a vacationing Larry King, she had on as guest Sarah Palin grand-baby daddy Levi Johnston. This was a follow-up to Johnston’s attending the Teen Choice Awards as Griffin’s guest the night before. She later revealed that the “romantic” relationship between Johnston and herself was merely a publicity ploy (duh!)
Griffin may have been guilty of misjudging her audience on this particular joke, but she went with it, even challenging the audience to boo more (which allowed her to “own” the failed joke.) Kathy? She might get hit on from Bill Maher if she is lucky...

Bristol Palin as fat? Puhlease——lots of men like me prefer just a little meat on the bones just as long as it doesn’t roll over the sides too much. Stick boned liberal femme hacks just don’t blip on the radar screen of appeal so-to-speak.

Comedian? Hardly. What passes for comedy today is appalling. Taking cheap shots at some one's expense is not comedy. It is an indication of a shallow, insecure, hateful person. Compare the comedy of the greats, Bob Hope, Lucile Ball, Bill Cosby, Red Skelton, Jack Benny, to name a few. Then look at Bill Maher, Cobert, any of the late night talking heads. No comparison comedy wise nor with patriotism.

She is 50 years old who is making fun of a 20 year older? That is not normal. Sorry but Palin is not a stick figure at all but she has some chunk to her which compliments her body. She just had a baby a bit ago too so that puts on the pounds as my wife might claim.....lol.

Kathy Griffin reacts as Levi Johnston breaks her stinkin’ heart

Poor Kathy Griffin. Dumped stone cold, and quite publicly we might add, by her beau Levi Johnston, who had the nerve to get re-engaged to Bristol Palin, the mother of his child. And the wedding might happen as soon as six weeks from now, according to an editor at Us Magazine, home of the rather public engagement announcement.
Ouch.
But Kathy’s coping as only Kathy can — with a cocktail of commerce and Celine Dion, above.
Apparently she has her eye on a new young fella already.
Be strong, Ms. Griffin. Be strong.

Hollywood and ALL of TV = pure evil.
Some web site had Kathy Griffin at the show in boots and a bikini. She was making out on stage with some serviceman. It was really gross. She will do anything for publicity and to be on TV.
