[Editor's note: Remember, these overwhelming numbers against the repeal of DADT were arrived at in spite of the fact that the Obama Administration survey as submitted to service members was incredibly biased and the questions asked were heavily skewed in an attempt to support the Left's radical homosexual agenda.]
----------------------------------------------------
HALF MILLION TROOPS, ONE IN FOUR, WOULD LEAVE THE MILITARY
Former Navy Chaplain Gordon James Klingenschmitt just read the full Pentagon report on repeal of Don't Ask, Don't Tell, and here's his analysis:
"Don't believe the phony liberal media reports that 70% of troops support open homosexual service, because that statistic included 'mixed' feelings. A closer reading of the fine print in the newly released Pentagon survey shows our troops answered as follows:
Q45. If you had a leader whom you believed was gay or lesbian…9% positive, 91% negative or mixed impact on unit's performance.
Q68c. 85% of Marine Combat Arms, 75% of Army Combat Arms, 64% overall say Negative, Very Negative, or Mixed impact on unit trust if DADT is repealed.
Q90. 29% would take no action if assigned open showers with homosexuals. 71% would shower at other times, complain to leadership or chaplains, don't know or do "something else" [including violence].
Q81. 24% will leave the military or think about leaving sooner than planned. (One half million troops will QUIT the service early, destroying our national security.)
Q80. 6% will positively recommend service to others after repeal. 94% feel negative, mixed, no effect, or don't know about recommending military service to others. (Destroying recruiting efforts.)
Q66. If open homosexuality impacts combat performance, is the impact...9% positive, 91% negative or mixed impact.
Q71. 11% feel positive or very positive about permitting open homosexuality in field environment or out at sea. 60% negative or mixed. 19% no effect.
Q73. 5% say repeal would positively boost morale. 41% say negative or mixed impact morale. Rest no effect or don't know.
In summary, the real statistics prove our nation faces a NATIONAL SECURITY DISASTER if Don't Ask, Don’t Tell is repealed, and open homosexual aggression is forced upon our troops against their will.”
The Obama faction is pushing one of the most blatant BIG LIE campaigns ever seen to push open homosexuality in the military.
Is it going to work?
I guess we’ll see, won’t we.
Here’s the release we were talking about earlier.
The list, ping
Let me know if you would like to be on or off the ping list
It’s what they want, a screwed up radicalized military.
You betcha.
This is much closer to what I expected. 70% approval didn’t sound right at all.
I say we send a pink slip to every single Senator who refuses to use every single tool at their disposal to block this abomination.
So much for the “positive responses” as suggested by Secretary of Defense Gates on all the MSM stations today...
Now we’ll see if the lame duck Congress rejects “don’t ask, don’t tell.” If they do, it will be hell to pay, especially during war time.
I just saw Gates on the news, touting the “fact” that “two-thirds of military personnel have no issue with repealing DADT” (or words to that effect).
I knew it was a lie when I heard him spew it.
Naturally, the newscasters didn’t blink, nor did they question what he said.

And this is just using the junk questionnaire! How about if a real honest survey were done, the results would be even more damning.
From another FR thread earlier today, a great post by Sola Veritas:
“One can only imagine how the questions were worded.”
It was poorly worded. As a reservist, I was randomly picked to answer it, as was my wife. It was worded so poorly that one could not clearly articulate their opposition to the proposed policy change.
It wasn’t exactly a “push poll”, but it seemed like one when I took the survey. I was thoroughly disgusted that it was not possible to say what I trully thought because of the wording of questions. About the only way you could show disdain for the proposal was to say you would leave military service or not recommend it to another if homosexuals could serve openly. You could indicate it would hurt unit cohesion, but it was very hard to do so by the wording.
Frankly, I've never seen such a blatant example.
The Big Lie (German: Große Lüge) is a propaganda technique. The expression was coined by Adolf Hitler, when he dictated his 1925 book Mein Kampf, for a lie so "colossal" that no one would believe that someone "could have the impudence to distort the truth so infamously."
How about worrying about getting our troops body armor, instead of swishing around this way and that, prancing from stool to stool, all in a tizzy about which way to turn on this stupid partisan bullsh!t?
Thanks EternalVigilance.
Absolutely. We have to send this out to our congress critters and anyone we know in the alternative media right away.
They can't be allowed to get away with this. It'll destroy our military.
Shepperd Smith was just giddy when he announced the blatantly skewed poll results earlier today. I thought to myself then this nonsense will be exposed as a steaming pile o’ $H!T! Didn’t take long.
It most certainly will.
This should fill the American people with the kind of righteous anger that will make Senators fear for their political lives.
Absolutely.
And secretary Gates is a liar.
Yes, he most certainly is. Of the worst sort.
