WASHINGTON (AP) The Obama administration has told whistleblower WikiLeaks that its expected imminent release of classified State Department cables will put countless lives at risk, threaten global counterterrorism operations and jeopardize U.S. relations with its allies.
In a highly unusual step reflecting the administrations grave concerns about the ramifications of the move, the State Department late Saturday released a letter from its top lawyer to WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange and his attorney telling them that publication of the documents would be illegal and demanding that they stop it.
It also said the U.S. government would not cooperate with WikiLeaks in trying to scrub the cables of information that m

Second, there are ways that the US could stop these activities, it is just the fault of the regime, which seriously believes that our enemies are civilized, normal people who would stop being bad if only we had a nice, long, talk with them, for not engaging in whatever clandestine actions are needed to prevent this information from being published. Or, to put it more simply, why doesn't Wikileaks publish any classified information from China or Russia?
It’s probably been answered elsewhere, but are these documents coming from a hack in a server, or is someone on the inside providing these documents with Wikileaks?
Just put a bullet in their heads and blow up Wikileaks HQ. Problem solved.
So let me get this straight. The Gestapo is busy shutting down other websites but has to beg and plead with this one.
Begs? What does Obummer want to hide? His administrations ineptness, arrogance? Hmmm...
If I remember correctly the left had a conniption fit over the presumed “outing” of Valerie Plame. This appears to be 400,000 times worse.
Where’s the outrage now?
This “problem” is so easily remedied if the folks in charge here would simply “act like a man.”
They don't, so then it is evident that the folks in charge simply have no real conflict with these “leakers” who have a lot of blood on their hands.
Wasn’t all this info provided by some scum traitor working in intelligence in our own Navy (which is why it’s all US info)? I know my own daughters were p!ssed about it when it was disclosed he was a Navy IS.

At 5pm EST Friday 22nd October 2010 WikiLeaks released the largest classified military leak in history. The 391,832 reports (’The Iraq War Logs’), document the war and occupation in Iraq, from 1st January 2004 to 31st December 2009 (except for the months of May 2004 and March 2009) as told by soldiers in the United States Army. Each is a ‘SIGACT’ or Significant Action in the war. They detail events as seen and heard by the US military troops on the ground in Iraq and are the first real glimpse into the secret history of the war that the United States government has been privy to throughout.
America BEGS ?
Try “pretty please with sugar on top Obambi!”
This is BS
They could shoot this little weasel. The ICE Gestapo are shutting down web site right now for stealing music and video, and they can’t stop this a$$ hole?
They WANT him to make Bush look bad.
That would show 'em who not to mess with!
Obama. George Soros. The Open Society Project. This leak is intentional and this story is only window dressing for the media.
“Begs” my @$$. You make the commie maggots and faggots an offer they can’t refuse if they want to continue inhaling oxygen.
Exactly.
Stop begging
Start shooting.
Obama’s begging an whining is meant for only one purpose: To divert attention from the fact that the Obama Administration is feeding these documents to Wikileaks.
