First, I see no difference between WikiLeaks and the New York Times, the Washington Post, or any other major US newspaper or media outlet that never hesitates to publish classified material when they get their hands on it. Heck, when the GOP is in power, there is awesome praise from the left for these newspapers for engaging in these "patriotic" activities.

Second, there are ways that the US could stop these activities, it is just the fault of the regime, which seriously believes that our enemies are civilized, normal people who would stop being bad if only we had a nice, long, talk with them, for not engaging in whatever clandestine actions are needed to prevent this information from being published. Or, to put it more simply, why doesn't Wikileaks publish any classified information from China or Russia?

It’s probably been answered elsewhere, but are these documents coming from a hack in a server, or is someone on the inside providing these documents with Wikileaks?

Just put a bullet in their heads and blow up Wikileaks HQ. Problem solved.

If I remember correctly the left had a conniption fit over the presumed “outing” of Valerie Plame. This appears to be 400,000 times worse.

Where’s the outrage now?

“Begs?”

This “problem” is so easily remedied if the folks in charge here would simply “act like a man.”

They don't, so then it is evident that the folks in charge simply have no real conflict with these “leakers” who have a lot of blood on their hands.

They should be slammed and slammed again on the same level as Socks Berger was!

That would show 'em who not to mess with!

Obama’s begging an whining is meant for only one purpose: To divert attention from the fact that the Obama Administration is feeding these documents to Wikileaks.

I am going to plead ignorance, stupidity, and laziness on this one. If someone would care to take the time..........
How is that place obtaining the material? If the material is “secret”, surely laws are being broken. Why no enforcement or prosecution? Why is publication not stopped?
Would stopping the publication be considered a violation of the 1st? As I said, ignorant, stupid, and lazy.

In a highly unusual step reflecting the administration’s grave concerns about the ramifications of the move, the State Department late Saturday released a letter from its top lawyer to WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange and his attorney telling them that publication of the documents would be illegal and demanding that they stop it.

Assage responded eletronically to Obama:

Listen up, People:

A “COMMANDER-IN-CHIEF” would deal with this issue directly. A “LITIGATOR-IN-CHIEF” would hee-haw and jack around with flowery words and false indignation through his proxies.

Assange is an INFORMATION TERRORIST. There is NO OTHER DESCRIPTION FOR THE MAN.

He’s not a journalist and he’s not a whistleblower. He’s engaging in an information campaign to affect the United States in the eyes of the world.

His actions have no other purpose than to inflict damage on the credibility and reputation of the U.S. and the halfwits in the Oval Office and the State Department totally miss this fact.

A TRUE Commander would deal with this threat directly. He would give a very clear and concise warning before announcing to the world that Assaunge is now an enemy combatant in the eyes of the United States.

Start thinking outside the box, people. The rest of the world is....

RLTW.

Obama uses the power of a great Nation to punish the state of Arizona but will not use the levers of power to defend the country. Any nation unwilling to defend its secrets will have no secrets to defend.
