The U.S. Senate yesterday approved spending $4.6 billion to settle two lawsuits: one by black farmers who alleged racial discrimination by government lenders and the other by 300,000 American Indians who said they had been cheated out of land royalties dating to 1887.
Passage of the measure, by voice vote, unblocks a legislative logjam that has thwarted payouts, negotiated by the Obama administration, of $1.15 billion to the black farmers and $3.4 billion to the American Indians.

Just how much money must redistributed (i.e., stolen) to history’s losers? This is insanity by nobama and his minions.
Just a litle reparations payment ‘
What the heck , it’s onl;y money.. We can easily print more./s/
They just cannot stop spending.
Still ain't got nothing to do with me or any other taxpayer—so DON'T USE OUR MONEY IN THIS SETTLEMENT!!!
Make the GOVERNMENT workers pony up—they make a heck of a lot more money than WE do and don't do a damn thing except harass productive non government workers anyway!!!
Dems could care less about blacks and Indians getting money; the important thing is that trial lawyers have a big payday. Like most class actions lawsuits, five truly injured parties are coupled with 300,000 uninjuried people to effect a bigger payday for lawyer scum.
No more broken treaties! No more broken treaties! Give them the wealth! Give them the wealth!

This is reparations.
Maybe the Native Americans should FIRST sue their own tribal councils that are stealing all the gambling income. I find it hard to believe that they are still as poor as they are with that kind of revenue coming in on a daily basis.
Most importantly....how is that the Senate sends billions to blacks and native americans for perceived injustices while stripping away the wealth and benefits of seniors and the disabled through Medicare and Social Security—many of whom paid tens or hundreds of thousands into the system. Seems to me that if you want to talk mishandling of trust funds....you better be talking Medicare and Social Security FIRST!
this is bull crap.
It seems awhile back it was proven that there was only about 25% of the numbers claimed by black farmers who were actually farmers. Just another rip off by los negroes and their claims of discrimination.
Where is MY money for putting up with these thieves and scoundrels?
Obama is "redistributing the wealth," just following orders from Commie Van Jones.
Glenn Beck ran the video several times, showing Jones demanding Native Americans be given the wealth.
SEE VIDEO "Give them the wealth" on youtube.
Will some sort of proof be required to show that someone actually farmed? Or that one is actually a recognized Native American tribe? This could merely be a payoff. Oh, wait!
Yeah, I've seen that Van Jones screed. But I believe this lawsuit is something different.
The Indians getting screwed is an old story and is true. The maggots in DC robbed them blind since the injuns moved to the reservations and the Treaty Ink dried. However, the complaint by these black 'farmers' is one big scam.
There was a documentary I watched a few years back that showed one of these "black farmers" had nothing but a Front Yard he claimed he wanted to grow some crop on. Natch, he couldn't get a gubmint loan so he sued.
So the payments to blacks is where the real 'redistribution' is going on. Hell, they may as well through in a FREE gubmint Mule.
Hey, wait a second...
I'm the Man!
It’s just what GB said about the head communist Van Jones, for us to give them the Wealth.
Jones talks about “broken treaties” with N/A.
However, if it comes from the mouth of Van Jones, you know it’s suspect.
Where is the vote tally?
What utter , egregious, illegal Bull SH*T!
All land claims are moot after 30 years.
