Great find! If this is true, and I think it probably is, then its one more reason why Christie is unacceptable. He may be fine for NJ’s budget, but not going to work for the face of conservatism.

The fine print at the bottom is unreadable, photo resolution is not fine enough. What does it say???

This is a bit of an aside issue, but I notice you support the NRA. The NRA supported a liberal Democrat in my district for House of Representatives even though the Republican was more favorable to 2nd amendment rights. Based on that, shouldn’t we cease supporting the NRA? (I am an NRA member...and PISSED OFF).

Back on topic. Christie is as conservative as they come.

Always be wary of blue state “conservatives.” They will let you down more times than not.

This is tiresome. We are bad-mouthing every potential Republican candidate. What do we want . . . nothing is worthy but Sarah? In this vain all we’ll end up with is four more years of the community agitator. For our country’s sake, for our children’s sake, we must stop bickering and dividing our side and focus on stopping the real enemy.

Can a totally “in your face conservative” be elected President?

Typically Democrats run to the left in their primaries and to the middle for the general election. Conversely Republicans run to the right for primaries and to the middle for the general. The only way Republicans in blue states can win elections is to ‘nuance’ their positions.

As conservatives, would we rather they were just plain spoken in your face abortion is murder types? Or do we actually want them to win something once in a while? Reagan talked about his personal dislike for abortion but that he would not seek to change the law. Would he have been elected had he forcefully stated he was not only opposed to abortion but he’d agressively seek to change the law?

Those of us who are not politicians have the luxury of having strong opinions and not have that fact negatively impact our career or our effort to make a positive overall conservative impact on our society.

The Buckley Rule seems to me to apply. Support the most conservative and ELECTABLE person possible.

OPTICAL ILLUSIONS

Light squares are conservatives.
Dark squares are liberals.
The lighted areas like A are conservative like Texas.
Shadow like B are liberal like New Jersey.
There are contrasts and then there are absolutes.

Isn’t Christie also in favor of opening up the floodgates for illegal immigrants?

I’m almost certain I heard him giving that maddening “It’s-not-possible-to- deport-12-million-illegal-immigrants, so...” speech not long ago.
