Obama: ‘What About Compliments?' (ZERO)

Obama: ‘What About Compliments?’ Advance copy from the November 22, 2010, issue. William Kristol November 12, 2010 4:00 PM

At his November 12 press conference in Seoul, President Obama was asked the following question by CBS’s Chip Reid: “What was the number-one complaint, concern, or piece of advice that you got from foreign leaders about the U.S. economy and your stewardship of the economy?”

Whereupon the president began his response with a complaint: “What about compliments?” he asked. “You didn’t put that in the list.”

Well, soorrrrrry, Mr. President.

Poor President Obama. He’s (allegedly) getting all these compliments from his fellow world leaders—and the press just isn’t interested in having him tell us about them. True, President Obama became accustomed, as a candidate, to having a compliant press corps. But even so. After a contentious economic summit where the president was forced to defend the Fed’s ill-advised monetary policies, a summit that followed on the heels of the biggest midterm electoral defeat ever suffered by an elected first-term president, a defeat partly due to his ill-advised fiscal policies, did Obama really expect a reporter to stand up at the end of last week and ask, “Mr. President, what compliments did you receive from foreign leaders?”

That is, apparently, exactly what the president expected.

And that has us worried. We’ve assumed the president would learn from the voters’ repudiation of his party on November 2. We’ve assumed he would learn from reality’s refutation of his policies over the last two years. But the vanity that Jonathan V. Last elaborates on elsewhere in this issue seems to be standing in the way of such learning. President Obama has been mugged both by the voters and by reality—but he thinks that he’s still looking good, that he deserves plaudits, and

I can’t believe this guy is about my age. I was more “grown up” at 14 than he is now, and I was NOT a mature adolescent! “Me, I, me, I, mine, I accomplished, I believe, what I did, etc. etc..”

He’s a very odd guy with an odd history.

He’s the product of a mixed marriage when they were very rare. Mixed cultures. Abandoned by his father his entire life and later his mother. He had a gay tranny nanny in Indonesia. He was raised a Marxist and then a Muslim. His narcissism masks a deep insecurity about himself.

He’s then sent to Harvard though he was never a top student through some Affirmative-Action mixed with $$ from a supporter. He’s never had a real job outside of ‘community organizing’ and then embraces his black half marrying a black woman and attending an Afro-Centric church.

Obama in 20 years could be... living as a Muslim in some other country. A Christian minister. A race hustler. An enviro-nut Al Gore style. No telling what he’ll become because he’s not even sure what he is.

But the people who put him in office are using him for what they want — currency destabalization. Open borders. Debt debt debt. World apology tour.

Zero is an appropriate nickname for Obama because he IS nothing. He’s “hope” and “change” and nothingness.

Even the softball question...

“What was the number-one complaint, concern, or piece of advice that you got from foreign leaders about the U.S. economy and your stewardship of the economy?”

... offends the arrogant Obama.

The Usurper has been given EVERYTHING that he has, having earned NOTHING.
So of course he expects praise just for being present!
Get a gripe people, Our Leader is without common sense, or normal contact with reality!
Thank the CommieCrates, corrupt GOP Leadership, and insider beltway corruption for this situation.

Our Republic is under direct attack, internally and externally! JMHO

" Whereupon the president began his response with a complaint: “What about compliments?” he asked. “You didn’t put that in the list.”

He loves to flatter himself, and loves to compliment himself.

From the words of Carly Simon...

" You're so vain
You probably think this song is about you
You're so vain
I'll bet you think this song is about you
Don't you? Don't you?

I watched the broadcast live. He was not pleased with the questions he received by Jake, Chip, and Sheryl. He aptly admonished them with mind-numbing grandiloquence.

If they had done theier job in the first place, there would be no Hussein Obama. He would be shooting hoops in some south Chicago playground, hanging with the Muslim brotherhood.

The problem with Liberal progressives is, they’re not grounded in reality, EVER... and the power is still with the voter, of whom at least 30 to 40 % are reality based. In other words, we still matter and can turn this ship around, may God help us!

[0] was asked . . . “What was the number-one complaint, concern, or piece of advice that you got from foreign leaders about the U.S. economy and your stewardship of the economy?”

. . . [0] began his response with a complaint whine: “What about compliments?” he asked. “You didn’t put that in the list.”

“Men who look upon themselves as born to reign, and others to obey, soon grow insolent. Selected from the rest of mankind, their minds are early poisoned by importance; and the world they act in differs so materially from the world at large, that they have but little opportunity of knowing its true interests, and when they [rise] in the government are frequently the most ignorant and unfit of any throughout the dominions.”

"The only president to singlehandedly turn Europe from socialist to capitalist, and awaken them to the creeping fascism of mohammedanism!"

Isn't that something. That was their takeaway from his 2008 Am I Bowing Deeply Enough? tour.

The Euro talk at the time -- the real sub rosa from the smart set was -- 'the Americans are about to elect the son of a failed wannabe Kenyan dictator!' Talk about chickens comin' home to roost -- thanks colonialism!
