NEW YORK, N.Y.

For her next book tour, Sarah Palin will again skip some of the nation's biggest cities.

HarperCollins announced Wednesday that the former Republican vice-presidential candidate and Alaska governor will be on the road from Nov. 23 to Dec. 3, with a break for Thanksgiving, to promote "American by Heart: Reflections on Family, Faith, and Flag."

The book comes out Nov. 23 and is her first since her memoir, "Going Rogue."

As with "Going Rogue," Palin will not make appearances in New York, Los Angeles, Seattle, San Francisco or other cities where Democrats are more in favour. She will spend little time on either coast.

The tour begins in Phoenix, in the home state of her 2008 running mate, John McCain.

Smaller cities are her thing. I know she has supporters all over our country, but she can’t go everywhere.

The nearest she’s getting to my area is Nov. 30: Baton Rouge, La.

I am already *thinking* but I’ve never been to Baton Rouge.

You need to be careful. Baton Rouge used to be a safe city... but since Katrina... you really need to be careful.

Just cancelled *my thinking* - even Jackson would be a “trip” into who knows what, depending on the location.

LibLieSlayer knows what he/she is talking about, sections of Baton Rouge are just as unsafe as “Nawlins” (Have friends who live there, it ain't the Baton Rouge of 20 years ago or even 10).

IMHO here is the road to the WH for Republicans in 2012.

These are the 2008 Obama states that need to flip to Republicans in 2012 in order to get to over 270. All the while keeping the states that McCain/Plain won in 2008:

Here are the states (with electoral votes) and Election percentages Obama/McCain from 2008:

- FL (27) 51/48
- OH (20) 52/47
- NC (15) 50/49
- VA (13) 53/47
- IN (11) 50/49
- MN (10) 54/44
- IA (7) 54/45

While keeping same McCain/Palin 2008 states and Democrats can still keep:

- CA
- NY
- PA
- MI
- IL
- WA
- OR
- NV
- CO
- NM
- MD
- DE
- NJ
- ENTIRE New England, and DC
