NEW YORK, N.Y.

For her next book tour, Sarah Palin will again skip some of the nation's biggest cities.

HarperCollins announced Wednesday that the former Republican vice-presidential candidate and Alaska governor will be on the road from Nov. 23 to Dec. 3, with a break for Thanksgiving, to promote "American by Heart: Reflections on Family, Faith, and Flag."

The book comes out Nov. 23 and is her first since her memoir, "Going Rogue."

As with "Going Rogue," Palin will not make appearances in New York, Los Angeles, Seattle, San Francisco or other cities where Democrats are more in favour. She will spend little time on either coast.

The tour begins in Phoenix, in the home state of her 2008 running mate, John McCain.

She’s going to where the people are. Oh, what a shock this must be to the MSM.

It’s a pity, because she has fans in all of the above. The difference between a blue state and a red state isn’t radical, but a small shift in percentages from one side to the other.

Another wise move. Playing directly to flyover country.

Probably because of logistic reasons. It’s easier to tour the country within than to visit NYC or LA and go through all the traffic and delays.

Sarah Palin's Nov. 23-Dec. 3 tour for her new book will avoid the major coastal cities for stops in the heartland. They include a Sam's Club stop at 5:30 p.m. Nov. 30 in Little Rock, according to a Harper Collins publicist.

I only wish she'd make a visit to NH...not for the Presidential thing but just so I could meet her.

Yes, thank you. 'politico' is linked in the posted article and their snark permeates.

Among the destinations sure to get buzz: Des Moines and Spirit Lake, Iowa. LOL.

I don’t blame her for not going to places like NY and LA. I’m sorry she won’t be in my area.

Back on the road: Sarah Palin again skips biggest coastal cities on book tour

Staying in the battleground states. Writing off CA, NY, OR and WA as she should. Perhaps NV and NM will hold fair elections again.

It is a book strategy, not a political strategy. I don’t think we have to worry about Oklahoma.
