Hannity Interviews George W. Bush part 1 of 2
I said it before and I'll say it again: I disagreed with him - and STRONGLY so - on a few things but he has to be one of the gutsiest, humblest, most decent and patriotic men to ever sit in the White House. I admired his conduct about Iraq, Pro-life policies and a number of other things. I disagreed with TARP and the rest of what I consider statist mistakes, but here's a man who always did everything out of love for the US and not to transform it into the EU(SSR). He did restore decency to the office after 8 years of pornocracy and to see it sink back down into a sewer of thuggish arrogance, incompetence, fanaticism and utterly unamerican attitudes makes even non-American observers sick. One can only guess what veterans and military families are going through to see this. I am not surprised people keep telling him how they miss him. He would still be a great president without Obama to compare him to. With Obama in office, Dubya looks like Mount Rushmore material. There, I said it and I mean it.
Thanks much for posting. Rushmore sounds right...50 years hence!!
The dream seemed prophetic and it could have been but the thing is some dreams that are prophetic are meant to be interpreted and are not what they seem on the surface (such as the dreams Joseph interpreted) and others happen just as dreamed. The dream was totally foreign to me and seemed very unlikely and I know that it didn't come from my own wishful thinking as I never dreamed in my wildest imagination that Hannity would ever even think about running for President. Also though I like Hannity and appreciate his insights into Obama's bad character and his persistence in constantly pounding the point home I was not a avid fan or anything. Also it was Hannity that really pushed for Republicans to have their new contract with America that may have helped us win so many victories.
Bush interview ping. Watch it.
Thanks for the links. I am eager to watch it!
This first picture reminds us of everything we always knew about President Bush’ love of his fellow man and his love for his troops and their adoration of him as their CinC.
Did anyone else pick up on the part where he said that a guy who takes 10 minutes to give a long-winded answer to a question “doesn’t know what he’s talking about.”
Immediately I thought of Obama, but I don’t know if that was a subtle indication of his opinion of BHO.
Hannity is way too polarizing a figure. He also really does lack depth - not that there is an awful lot currently in the WH.
We need someone like a two term Governor of a major State with John Bolton as the designated Sec of State. The VP should be able to put one of the big Democrat States - say California or NY in play.
While Bush is busy apologizing for everything (such as the WMDs, etc), perhaps he can apoligize for taking his shoes off in the filthy D.C. mosque and calling Islam the “religion of Peace”, which led this nation in precisely the wrong direction in the war on terror. Or for allowing his TSA chief Norman Minetta to practice political correctness by demanding that grandmothers and children be frisked along with Muslims at airports, and that moms be forced to drink their own breast milk to prove it wasn’t some kind of explosive. MUSLIMS should have been profiled from day one. Treating every American like a criminal was criminal in itself.
I can barely stomach Hannity anymore. Listening to him is like listening to someone scraping their finger nails on a blackboard. Have to admit he`s courageous, though. sarc/ He`s willing to fight to the last breath of everyone but himself. He never served in the military, but his solution to everything is to send others off to fight and die.
That was good, and I think it was a dig, for sure.
Im not a huge Hannity fan anymore myself. I watched him last night, but generally I wont turn him on anymore. I dont like how he bullies people around he doesnt agree with and his panel, with that annoying football he plays with is just boring.
Is your tantrum over now? President Bush kept us all safe for 7 1/2 years. So you may be the one who would like to make an apology.
If he has Karl Rove or Dick Morris on one more time, I may have to give him a serious schooling with my cane.
THANK YOU for posting this video of “one of the gutsiest, humblest, most decent and patriotic men to ever sit in the White House.”
[FYI: I could have done without the obligatory disclaimer that seems to preface every positive comment about President Bush here at FR . . . When you compliment your wife do you preface your statement with: Even though you’re ‘abit overweight and talk too much, . . . . . . ?]
Excellent post, DrDeb. ;)
I love hearing that chuckle.
LOL, and then I saw it was you. Thanks!
