In the whole scheme of things it did not hurt the GOP one iota to lose Delaware.

Whether the GOP has 41 seats or 50 seats, the GOP has the same power.

The GOP now has 47 seats and Delaware makes no difference.

The Establishment GOP needs to get their heads out of the sand otherwise they will be the next ones ousted from DC.

Castle was ahead of the Dem in all polling.

That's dishonest, and you know it. Polls taken weeks before the election must be given less weight than exit polls taken on the day of the election. So based on the best available evidence, Castle would have lost. There is no other intellectually honest way to call it.

And, had Castle been the 48th seat, he would've voted with the Democrats anyway -- gaining the party nothing.

Had Castle won (which I don’t think he would have), he would have been more trouble that having that extra seat. He would probably have made the New England sisters look far right wing, in comparison. I think he would have voted with the democrats on pretty much everything they brought along, giving them another propaganda talking point as to bipartisan cooperation.... not worth it IMO.

.....Castle would have lost.....

We disagree. I am told ALL the polling, before the primary, during the general and exit polling show he would have won against the Democrat. He almost went write-in. He was a veteran House member, well known and well liked in that small state. Like him or not, he was a victim of the combination of the throw the bums out syndrome and not being conservative enough for the purists. Thats all I am saying. I am certainly not intellectually dishonest.

No problem It was my fault. However your response indicated that it wasn’t the first I had said something immature. ;)
