You changed the topic. The topic was the Delaware race.

Besides, where’s the evidence Murkowski has won? Has any network called it? We don’t know who won.

I think Christie is wrong. No matter what anyone thinks about O’Donnel, the Delaware voters were more inclined toward the politics of Coons and the best chances are they would have preferred Coons to a Coons-lite, like Castle. Why vote for the substitute when the real deal is running. I am sure that’s what Delaware’s majority Liberal voters would have thought if Castle had been running.

I think it diffcult to take the exit poll into count since I think alot of Castle votes sit out the election...Ditto Jane Norton supporters in El Paso Country in Colardo that kept Buck from getting the 67% of the vote there he needed..

Castle would have won easily.

How do you know? Christine won over the independents. They would have definitely stayed home or voted down-ticket had Castle been the Republican.

The NRSC can afford to give millionaire Carly $8 million when that money could have been spent to help Christine, Angle, and Buck.

The convential wisdom is that Castle would have won. The actuality is that Coons would have beaten him in a union-dominated state.

Ironic, isn’t it? GM, Chrysler and Valero refinery all shut down and STILL they vote for Democrats. Insanity, personifed.

Exit polls showed Castle would have lost too. We can take it as fact or debate that things would have looked completely different with a different primary outcome....but of those that votes, Coons would have won based on polls that day.

I think there is good evidence in other blue states that that this outcome could have been the case. We simply have too big of a voting disadvantage in these very blue states. In a same world we would have won this race in CT, NV, CA, CO and WA. Unfortunately, no matter how week the Dem candidate nor how good the GOP candidate, the deck is stacked against us in the current environment in the very blue states. While we are winning over independents, we are not making inroad yet in the ‘true blue’ areas where they still believe government is the answer, and public unions, Phd liberals and low income people on the take are going to vote themselves the bigger government every time.

Castle went head to head with O’Donnell and lost. And then he showed what a truly gracious man he is /not.

He’s a sore loser.

The prior election results didn’t show that the man is a cad, a seventy-plus year old BRAT, but his loss in the primary did.

Exactly. Part of the reason we're in this hole now is because of establishment, liberal Republicans who kept moving the goal posts to the Left some more. Voters see that there's no difference between the two parties, conservatives stay home, and the low voter turnout keep voting for the Democrat.

Anyway, Christine has a bright future. Her 30-minute ad was absolutely amazing. I think her future is in being a spokeswoman for other's campaigns, being a conservative strategist, or maybe as a Fox News contributor. She is an excellent, articulate speaker.

Castle should have endorsed O’Donnell. It would have been the right thing. After all, he lost the primary. His endorsement might or might not have helped her win the general election, but it would have shown some class.

The thing is the exit polls is there were likely Castle voters who stayed home...

"...call him Fatback, fatboy or some derogatory name along with disagreeing. As anyone can see, I have been here for over a decade and seeing FR evolve into a right-wing moveon.org or DU is sad..."

Noticeably more so since the Great FR Purge.

Christie is compounding his earlier stupidity when he endorsed Castle in the first place. The race is over and he needs to keep his mouth shut. Who cares if Castle might have won? He would have only been another Jeffords/Specter/Chafee nightmare. Personally, I can't take any more of that crap. Better to be knifed in the face by an enemy than stabbed in the back by a "friend".

Good. Vote Christine or don't vote at all.

This is rich. First something good old anonymous “breaks” the news that Bush doesn't think Pailn is any good, now a very successful governor is big news when he says he supported the loser in another state.

Live the governor and his opinions on “what might have been” rotting in a cool, dark, basement somewhere. What he thinks of a race in another state is only important to the fascist media that's scared to death the Tea Party and conservative Republicans will stick together all the way through 2012.

If we're going to use anonymous sources then just call every a homophobic, puppy kicking, kitten killing, worshiper of Satan and see if that runs on the AP wire. And if we're going to give a crap about what a conservative governor says about an election that's already over let's talk about what Hillary and Bill thought of Obama, or better yet, keep quoting Reid about his being clean and not having an accent (or was that dumbbell Biden).

Not worth the posts it draws, imho, but it drawing this many comments shows that the democrats still know how to work towards their “divide and conquer” goals that have always worked so well before.

Regards

Christie is making such inroads. When the teachers went to Atlantic City this LONG weekend for their yearly party down of a convention, Governor Christie went to the inner-city Trenton Boys and Girls club. The Trentonian reported (excerpted and digested):
Gov. Chris Christie used the Boys & Girls Club in Trenton to take a shot at the teachers feeling insulted by his refusal to attend their annual convention in Atlantic City this week.

Addressing 50 high schoolers and several local officials ... used the Q & A session with students to criticize the New Jersey Education Association, the teachers’ union, as a key cause of the state’s financial woes as well as the woes of urban education in Jersey.

Christie blasts teachers at Trenton Boys & Girls Club (full article and video).

It's upsetting to see a real man of Christie's caliber misfiring against candidates outside the GOP establishment, and especially in support of sad-sacks like Castle.

I don’t put that much credence in ‘what if’ exit polls since the ‘what if’ candidate wasn’t on the ballot and had not been in the campaign fight during the runup with ads/meetings/gotv etc. prior to the election. I think in one poll I saw quoted Castle lost 44-43 or some such close number.

Castle would have lost. O’Donnell would have won had the lame-os like Christie supported her.

I want what you are smoking.
