"...I think her future is in being a spokeswoman for other's campaigns, being a conservative strategist, or maybe as a Fox News contributor. She is an excellent, articulate speaker.

What's is it with Delaware. They produce one gaff machine after another. First it's Biden, now O'Donnell.

After listening to her interview on local Delaware radio by a host who backed her in the previous Senate race, I had serious doubts about her. Then after her "they are producing mice with fully functioning human brains" comment, well...a conservative spokeswoman, strategist, Fox contributor? Really?

The main reason why I'm happy to have a GOP Governor in New Jersey, is that I believe Senator Frank Lautenberg is going to retire soon. Hope we will not miss another chance...

Actually - he is correct - though the target of wrath should be directly on the RNC and its subsidiary organizations who threw the Repub candidate under the bus.

Christie says he was proud to have endorsed Castle.

Christie has been good on standing up to the unions and cutting costs in New Jersey. But I wouldn't touch him on a bet as a candidate for the presidency. NEVER.

Sorry, if he's proud of having endorsed a gay-supporting, cap-and-trade, baby killing leftist, then I have no use for him. He is clearly a man without principles.

I had wondered about that. Cutting costs isn't enough. Not nearly enough. The guy must be morally empty.

Not sure what her future endeavors will be but for sure she should give up the idea of being Senator from DE. This makes her 3rd attempt in the General Election for the Senator slot in the years 2006, 2008 and 2010. Apparently the voters in DE aren’t that interested in her as being their Senator.

But as you say if politics is her chosen field there are many opps in various endeavors for other campaigns, media functions or maybe broadcast.

Don’t drink the COD kool-aid. My parents, ardent conservatives who worked hard to defeat Jacob Javits back in the day, think COD sounds like a candidate for Class President not the US Senate.
The liberal media want to make her the face of conservatism, in order to discredit us.

yo momma?

You're funnier (and maybe more deluded) than the guy who argued that O'Donnell "only" lost by 27,000 votes. As if percentages were a foreign concept to him.

Christie is correct. Castle would have won and was the best you can hope for in Delaware.
The Rats went through this process of losing because they wanted purity until Rahm got the majority with blue dogs.

She did have prior results. She had been defeated by Biden

Blame THE OLD SCHOOL Banana Republicans.

THE DEMOCRATS WILL UNITE BEHIND A CANDIDATE JUST BECAUSE HE OR SHE IS A DEMOCRAT EVEN IF THEY DISAGREE WITH THAT PERSON OR DON’T ‘LIKE’ THAT PERSON.

Republicans need to take a clue from the Alinsky Playbook and UNITE!

Castle would have lost.

The GOP needs to get its act together . . . it’s CONSERVATIVE act together.

2012 will soon be here and We The People WILL start taking care of RINO Banana Republicans.

No COD cool-aid consumption here. It's apparent, at least to me, your mom and your dad, that she has issues that would impact her ability to reason.

She became more and more defensive on a radio interview with a host that asked her questions she needed to answer and put to rest. Towards the end essentially accusing him of working for Castle. The guy was bending over backwards at first, then he had to put his foot down when she made the accusations.

Then there was the mice with human brains comment - last straw for me. If Coons had run a clip of that on the first day of the campaign, he could have saved the democrats a boatload of dough.

She was a flawed candidate from the get go. Too bad, but I guess that's the best the GOP can offer from Delaware. Some FReeper from Delaware must know of a Republican conservative in Delaware without the baggage. Maybe there aren't any. Too bad for Delaware..too bad for the U.S.

You aren’t just allowed to disagree with the Governor. Not here on FR. You must call him Fatback, fatboy or some derogatory name along with disagreeing.

Exactly.

even though she's an idiot.

I will cede to you the fact that she ran a lousy campaign, but she is not "an idiot". She holds Conservative positions on important issues and won the support of enough people to win the primary election in a liberal state.

“Not worth the posts it draws, imho, but it drawing this many comments shows that the democrats still know how to work towards their “divide and conquer” goals that have always worked so well before.”

Not A: “We have always been at war with Not B!”

All hail the Dem media...

...Castle would have lost....

Castle was ahead of the Dem in all polling. He almost certainly would have won. He is definitely a RINO. Even so, the GOP cant control the Senate without a majority. DE, NV, and CO were sure things that were lost.
