Man up, Maes. Do the right thing.
Isn’t Maes a faux tea party candidate? A poseur?
This independent run is the fault of the Bush administration which labeled him a “traitor” for not supporting amnesty.
Yeah, what’s the back story here. I thought Tancredo was a good guy, but I don’t like to see him badmouthing Palin. What’s up with this Maes guy?
“Tancredo also dismissed the new Sarah Palin branch of the GOP.”
Now that is probably a mistake. I would bet it is that branch of the party who is supporting you Tom. You need to be paying better attention.
Fixed it.
This race is a warning to the GOP of what will be if they don't shape up this time. They will be a minority party, and something else will replace it. They will split votes for a time, but in the end, they will be gone. I hope that the GOP wises up first, because these are dangerous times and we can't afford to lose any elections.
How is he a RINO?
Genuinely tea party, but not genuinely who he said he was. Everyone was so confident he couldn’t win, noone did their homework to find out if he was who he said he was.
“This independent run is the fault of the Bush administration which labeled him a traitor for not supporting amnesty.”
No. This independent run is the wave of the future. The GOP is a bloated, wasteful, self-absorbed organization who brought this upon themselves for not representing the very people who paid for it through contributions, time, and support.
It’s clear as day. the GOP no longer represents conservatives in this nation, and it’s time for them to bow out for a new grassroots party, whatever that may look like in 2012 (if the Republicrats haven’t destroyed the nation by then).
Important republicans have backed Tancredo, despite the cost to all republicans candidates in the future. They have done it for the good of the state, and Tancredo should be grateful for their support. It is going to take republicans to put Tancredo over the top and she should be somewhat humble about it (hard for him). I'm supporting Tancredo, but don't like this divisive talk.
An observation. We crucify Lisa Murkowski [rightly] for her write in campaign against Joe Miller. We castigate the idiot in Delaware for refusing to support O’Donnell after she whupped him in the primary. Yet Tancredo gets a pass when those supporting him likely would have gone to the GOP nominee. Anything wrong with this picture?
Sorry for the typo-laden post. Obviously Tancredo is a he.
Karl ROve also attacked Tom Tancredo. Rove is scum.
This question is ambiguous and could be parsed in two ways: 1) A faux candidate of the tea parties, or 2) a candidate of faux tea parties.
But either way, the answer is "yes".
Maes was caught distorting his law enforcement background. He was fired when he found out his girlfriend’s family was under investigation for gambling/drug ring connections and he tipped them off.
Voted by mail and voted Tancredo.
I’ve said this before. Tancredo is a demagogue. Tancredo is about ‘Tancredo’, and nothing else. He’s an egomaniac, and a loose-cannon. Support him at your peril.
