Use of 'whore' is about politics, not sex
San Francisco Chronicle ^ | 10/18/10 | Phil Bronstein

Posted on 10/18/2010 8:09:14 AM PDT by SmithL

We're all whores on the hamster wheel of life. And I mean that in the most respectful sense.

The w-word has taken a ride through the cultural wash/dry/spin cycles after someone in Jerry Brown's camp used it to describe rival Meg Whitman's alleged deal for police union support in a recorded conversation that was made public.

People reacted as if we were still living in Puritan Massachusetts.

It was "hate speech," said the National Organization for Women's president. "Women know exactly what's going on here," Whitman scolded at last week's gubernatorial debate.

Yes, we all do: politics. The same as when Whitman's campaign manager, former Gov. Pete Wilson, described public employee unions as "whores." Whitman's claim that this was somehow "different" and Brown's petulant apology were false modesties in the extreme.

Even Gavin Newsom, of all people, couldn't resist the party. . . .

Speak for yourself, Phil.

And, by the way, are you really one of those hamster guys?

That's funny, because when Bill Clinton was intimidating witnesses and committing perjury -- that was just about sex.

Or so they told me.

Yes, and Jerry Brown offering college educations to illegals is a good example of a political whore. There, I said it. If the shoe fits, “Moonbeam”...

There are some words that you just don’t use when referring to a woman if you want to be considered to be a civil person. This is one of them, regardless of the “context”.

Personal life:

He was married to actress Sharon Stone from February 1998 until January 2004. Together they adopted a son Roan. In 2001, while visiting the Los Angeles zoo, he had part of his foot severely mauled by a Komodo Dragon[6] Later he remarried. He lives in Mill Valley Ca with his wife and three kids.

He is right but it’s funny to see the libs screaming after being hoisted by their own PC petard. If a Repub candidate had done the same thing the Chronicle would be hammering them with the same PC line they now take objection to.

The problem is less with the word than those using it.
To have ancient NOW creatures come out of their lair and hurl the insult is more than a sane man can bear.
After 40 years of listening to these nags lecture us, enough is enough.

"Use of 'whore' is about politics, not sex"

Except of course in the case of former NY gov Elliot Spitzer, Bill Clinton and Barney Fruit. Then it's some of both.

That is probably the single funniest book I have ever read in my entire life

It is also a great explanation of politics and US government

Especially the chapter that starts with his description of inseminating a cow

If by “we”, he means journalists for the likes of the SF Chronicle, he’s absolutely correct.

Lets see: he can’t reproduce, lost a hot wife and got his foot mauled by a komodo dragon while visiting the zoo. And I am suppose to value this guy’s opinion? Funny. He doesn’t look too bright.

We now know that when Democrats call people names the definitions change to whatever fits their political agenda.

Just like when Clinton had sex in the oval office it wasn’t really considered sex.

They think we are all fools.

Same for all of the Liberal gaffes: close your eyes and imagine a Republican saying this. Then imagine Lib reaction.

Rinse and repeat.

Harry Reid saying “Negro”? Rinse and repeat.

Obama making fun of the special Olympics? Rinse and repeat.

Etc. etc.

I live in “puritan Massachusetts”.

I never get a lay because I am broke a$$ poor lately, and the wife and dogs think I suck. We are however overwhelmed with whores in what is left of the Bay State.

We sell what we have left because it is better than starving.
