It's possible that teen mom Bristol Palin may be regretting her barely-there outfit and sexy dance moves from Monday night's "Dancing with the Stars" performance.
The political daughter showed some serious skin in her rumba with partner Mark Ballas, and she may think twice next time. "I go around and I talk about abstinence, then I'm out here in my underwear," she told "Extra." Her hindsight is getting clearer.
Whether Bristol questioned it or not, her parents Sarah and Todd Palin did not. "They were proud of me," she said. "They thought I did a good job and I'm happy with that."
On Tuesday's elimination, Bristol was at the bottom of the chopping block, but it was "Jersey Shore's" Mike "The Situation" and his partner Karina Smirnoff who got the boot. Skipping a press line backstage, Mike left Karina to speak to the media.

So I guess we await Bristol Beer.
I did not see the show and do not ever plan to see it. But I have seen ballroom dancing contests; and the ladies are usually dressed quite provocatively during those rumba numbers. I suspect Bristol looked no more slutty than any other female ballroom dancer.
It's easy to criticize, but I think she's trying to make good choices, and I can't say that joining a dance contest is a terrible sin -- so I give her a pass.
Looked at the vid since I don’t watch that show and you see a lot more skin at any beach, and even on the streets during the summer. jmo
Her costumes are very modest; no cleavage, bare midriff or butt cheeks showing.
So far this season, the “stars” have been eliminated in order of their actual performance. Of the remaining stars, Florence and Kurt Warner show go next; and then Bristol.
That said, it would not be unjust if Bristol is eliminated next week.
She was well covered. All anyone saw was legs.

This kid is so modest that it will probably cost her the show. She works extremely hard each week but is horribly uncomfortable being sexy. She’s a good kid that made a mistake but lives her life trying to fix it and make good of it.

Bristol has nothing to be ashamed of in this dance contest, she is doing just fine. The tabloids made her a celebrity, and she is justified in taking advantage of it to support her child.

“Hard porn” was when they had their clothes off and there were close-ups of intimate contact.
But this is still PORN in my book, and Bristol is disgracing her family by participating in it.

This is a DANCE competition, and a fairly rated G-PG one at that. It’s not a wet t-shirt contest!
Rumba, salsa, and Latin dances have been around for decades and are traditionally passionate. This is not porn, this is not dirty dancing. This is a beautiful dance with a long history, that is celebrated all over the world in ballroom dancing competitions.

Children of the famous need a required course in how to avoid being USED by boyfriends, magazines, television programs, and so forth. Bristol, honey, they are using you to get what they want. Whatever it is, don’t do it any more.

Being beautiful is not a sin. People need to lighten up. Does being pretty help her on a television show ? yes.
Sarah Palin is beautiful too, but I never found her all that attractive because she is almost the exact same age as and she reminds me too much of my mom.

Not everyone will agree with Bristol's decisions, but she and Mark are very publicly demonstrating that everyone makes choices, and we need to think about things and make choices with which we feel comfortable, and stay away from things that feel wrong to us.
Everyone makes mistakes. Bristol's doing a pretty good job of showing what it looks like to come back and do it better the second time.

She’s about the most conservative dresser and dancer on that show. She looked like “rsiky business” Her shyness and her “homemade” looking costumes are going to get her eliminated.

I have a son who’s about her age. He’s really quite sensible and usually thinks before he acts...notice I said “usually.”
I tell him that evidence proves that the human brain isn’t fully developed till a person is 25. And a person’s body starts to decline at age 27...so get ready, he’ll have 2 good years in there where he’s thinking clearly and his body isn’t fighting against him. :)

Yesterday’s shocking underwear is today’s K-Mart lingerie ad. Still, Bristol is wise to consider being a bit more modest than the legal limit when she goes on the (hopefully not literal) boob tube.
One need not be a “would be Muhammedan” in order to heed, say, C. S. Lewis’ classic observation that while a particularly concealing standard of dress is no guarantee of virtue, and a particularly revealing standard of dress is no guarantee of vice, it is well for younger generations to respect the sensibilities of older ones while the standard is in a state of flux.
