A new poll suggests that Sen. Russ Feingold of Wisconsin is fighting for his political life.
A CNN/Time/Opinion Research Corporation poll released Wednesday indicates that the three-term Democratic senator trails businessman Ron Johnson, the Republican nominee Senate nominee, 52 to 44 percent among likely voters in Wisconsin. Johnson's eight point lead is up from a five point advantage in mid September.

this bum’s been behind 5+ for weeks...CNN/Time only notices now?
As a Wisconsin native and expatriate since 1995 all I can say is RIGHT ON!
It would be such a shame to lose a strong supporter of First Amendment rights as Feingold....
It would be such a shame to lose a strong supporter of First Amendment rights as Feingold....
You mean Obama’s campaigning at the University of Wisconsin didn’t put Feingold over the top?
Who’d a thunk it?
I am thinking another Obama campaign rally will do the trick!
Feingold’s going down, as sure as I have a nose on my face
Election night is shaping up to be some of the best Television broadcasting this year. Watching Dusty Harry, Russ Feingold, Patty Murray and a bunch of others go screaming down in flames is gonna be reason to stay up late and drink heavily...
And I hear CNN has also just called Ohio for Bush meaning they acknowledge Kerry lost in 2004.
This is gonna be better than the Superbowl!
Even the CNN/Time poll has Feingold losing....LOL.
He’s finished, provided everyone on Johnson’s side VOTES!
simply awesome
CNN/Time is trying to save Feingold. They're hoping Democrats in the state will become alarmed and do something (like vote fraud) to save one of the Ruling Classes' favorite leftists.
America, we are taking Feingold down and turning Obey's seat over to a conservative republican this year!
All Hail Wisconsin!!
gee pretty soon McCain wont have any play mates left....
Best response I’ve read yet!.. and way too true...
LOL! Might McCain just make the leap to the other side of the aisle? He seems to favor the climate over there than in a conservative Republican Party.
52 to 44, with only four percent undecided? It’s going to be a tough slog for Feingold to wring a victory out of those numbers no matter how the undecideds break. In fact, it looks downright impossible.
Right arm amputated (Harry Reid)
Left arm gone (Feingold)
Left leg, see ya! (Boxer)
And if you can believe Howie Carr the last limb could be (Barney Frank)
Not sure which limb that would be.
