Please sound off below with ideas, links, contacts, names of particular campaigns in dire straits, what "script" one uses to make the calls and how to secure voter calling lists (presumably of Republicans) and the like..... Time is short....[Privately "Freep mail" if your information is too tactical of a nature for Democrat lurkers to get ahold of as well]

I know this is just me.

My wife ahs been called 3 times (from out of State) by Union toads to push the local Dem. AFL-CIO - tho the *local* union is in the tank for Lisa.

Most Alaskans I know don’t even bother to answer out of state caller or *caller masked* calls. Esp during elections.

As always - your mileage may vary.

I know my local MA-05 with Jon Golnik trying to unseat Niki Tsongas can use callers. Also makes sense to contact your favorite campaign office... you can also use this site to identify the 100 most needy races around the country, and ask to be setup for remote caller access.

The remote phone systems in use are setup to call you, so it does not cost you to call. You have a connected PC, the next call comes up on the screen, and then the system calls BOTH you and the voter, linking you up (its actually a 3-way call). You answer your phone, and then start talking immediately to the voter...

If you can put down the gravure and hentai and stay out of the love hotels long enough (kidding!), I am sure the candidates would love the help.

How to... I have no idea.

It took me forever to get into the Twitter thing and when I did, I got one for serious stuff (no politics) and one for serious stuff (politics). Since so few characters are allowed; I put a HEADLINE (in my own words) with a url http://www.putyoururlhere.com and hit enter. My tweet is now twittered.

The twitter is picked up by some search engines just like my posts on FR to reach a wider audience.

I could do this 24/7 if I wanted and I reach the people I want to reach (and some I don’t) with a tweet.

It’s free and it’s just another way to get your message out.

Is there any evidence that some stranger calling someone on the phone gets that person motivated to vote in a particular way or vote at all?

Idea number 2: Donate to the candidate(s) of your choice.

Idea number 3: Add a link(s) of the candidates of your choice to your FR profile page and your web page(s). People who wish to donate directly to those candidates can click on the links and do so.

Idea number 4: Create a clickable graphic with a brief and catchy slogan that people will want to click on. It can go to your FR profile page, your web site(s), or directly to the candidate.

Sorry to be wordy, American In Tokyo, but I forgot to mention that I hang up on all callers except family members and others that I want to hear from.

The one exception is pollsters...I will answer those.

Go to this website:
November is Coming
It's run by the "American's For Prosperity" group that the liberals are so afraid of.

Click on the link for the "freedom pone system". Here's what they say about it:

Through our November is Coming effort, Americans for Prosperity has built one of the best databases in the nation. You can use our website to log in and then call fellow Americans in crucial areas of the nation.

We provide the scripts. We provide the lists of citizens. If you use your home phone there is no charge to you even if the calls are long distance. You can choose when to make your calls (between 10am and 8pm are the limits).

Be sure to check it out.

The RNC has a web application called Voter Vault used to locate what precinct a person is in and to generate calling/walking lists, among other things. GOP campaigns have access to Votervault via the RNC. Persons should be able to contact a campaign via web, email or phone and the campaign can generate .pdf calling/walking lists and email those back to the volunteers.

Usually you can go to the candidates campaign website and register to make phone calls from home. Just google their name to find their website. Please support your local Republican and Tea Party candidates!
