We need a suad or two of Marine snipers on the border - one
in Pinas County AZ and one on this Tex/Mex lake.

Only when 5 or 6 Mexican drug importers, coyotes and lake
thugs are dropped, and the Mexicans are asking us to look for THEIR bodies will a point have been made.

Is he going to send in the Republic of Texas Navy?

Or what? Texas will declare war?

Or he'll send a strongly worded protest!

"Or what? Texas will declare war?"

Since this is a water matter, Perry, as the (Honorary) Commander in Chief, he could order out the Texas Navy. On a serious note, I'm sure more than one of these Texans would be there in a minute.

When was the last time that the US declared war on any country? December 7, 1941?

*I’m sure the Great Leader will apologize for the incursion. That will end it.*

More likely, he’ll sue Texas and send the UN after the governor for violating Calderon’s human rights for being mean to him by writing a stern letter!

“Drug runners are using this lake as a wide open border crossing point. And they have snipers staked out who won’t hesitate to take out anyone that gets too close.”

Mexican drug cartels have gunmen guarding their marijuana fields in our own US National Parks. It’s not just along the border. Do a search for them in Oregon.

They damn well should. National Guards are in the command of the state governor unless the president calls them up.*

The governor needs to hurry up and send them out before 0-bomb-a messes this up

*Why would pirates kill a guy on a jet-ski? Maybe because he was involved in their nefariousness with them?
60 minutes or someone else did a report on this subject just recently. Drug runners are using this lake as a wide open border crossing point. And they have snipers staked out who won't hesitate to take out anyone that gets too close.*

I wonder what would happen if honest citizens sat on this side of the border and shot at the snipers every time a gun was fired over the water?

.....just sayin’.....

Good points.
Are there other folks who witnessed this shooting?

“I am in no way saying she has done ANYTHING wrong at this point” Same here. We will see how it unfolds.

Well now that Governor Good Hair is involved, I feel safer.

He's just getting face time for his run in 2012.

I just hope she didn’t do it.

From what I understand they were 2 to 3 miles in Mexico. The border across the lake is clearly marked so it begs the question, why were they there? If you are two to three miles south of the border in TJ or Juarez you are at great risk.

Why would Mexican bandits go after people on a jet ski? Other than the Jet Ski itself most people don’t have any money and don’t even bring their wallet. I don’t think she killed him but if they were smuggling then the story would make more sense.

Given the location, it could be the case that the bad guys figured they must be smuggling and figured they would either have cash or drugs to rip off.

Just my random thoughts.

What I am a bit unclear on is how these pirates managed a head shot on a guy flying along on a jet ski but could not hit the wife just floating in the lake as she was trying to lift her husband up onto his ‘ski’.

Simple. Most criminals can't shoot worth a damn. My guess is that the husband was killed by one of dozens of shots, most of which missed him. It's no mystery why the wife was able to get away unharmed.

The gangsters were likely shooting lots of rounds in her general vicinity, which would cause anyone to flee.

Good points Windflier and I really hope you are right. I do not want this to be a wife killing her husband thing in any way, shape or form believe me. Some American young’n was murdered on a bus in mexico I just read this morning also. good God.

Mexico has been virtually lawless for generations now, and it’s only gotten worse and worse, over time. That country is now so out of control, that I would caution any American to stay well north of the border.

As this incident shows, you risk your life getting anywhere near that border.

Sidescan sonar can find bodies.

Suppression of hostile Messicans who might be a risk to such a search is easy, if we so decide.

agreed! one of my good friend’s grandsons, (about 40...should have know better I believe), was all set to down to one of those damn worthless mexican tourist traps a year ago but after I spoke with him about JUST how lawless that hell hole was, and anywhere NEAR the border, that there was a good chance he might have been tortured or his darn head sawed off....FOR FUN...by those savages, he thankfully saw the light. He was just another example of the not paying attention American sheeple feeling that they can travel around with impunity. To bad that it has come to this but that is how it is.

FWIW : the AK-47 can be used as an area-fire weapon at that

range,,,(long range),,,(800 yards),,,

Spray-n-pray,,,

That said,,,

I have to wonder if they went over the border to pickup dope

because it’s well marked in that area as I understand...
