If BO takes no action on this then he his tacitly admitting that border issues are a state problem and not a federal issue. That might be a strong point for Arizona in addressing the unconstitutional lawsuit the fed brought against them.

This couple lived in Reynosa, Mexico about 2 1/2 years and had just moved back into the US a couple of months ago. Having been living there may have had some influence on their reasoning regarding crossing the border. Just a guess on my part.

Isn’t the US Coast Guard “supposed” to patrol waters between states and between the US, mexico and Canada? I haven’t heard them mentioned at all in this.

“...after which a very strongly-worded letter will be FAXed to Calderon. Followed the next day by a FAX in ALL CAPS!”

After that they’ll be reported to the (gulp) United Nations.

some here to. What I am a bit unclear on is how these pirates managed a head shot on a guy flying along on a jet ski but could not hit the wife just floating in the lake as she was trying to lift her husband up onto his ‘ski’. (The bullets were just ‘hitting all around her in the water’ it was reported). I am in no way saying she has done ANYTHING wrong at this point, just that there are some areas that appear a bit murky. I also wouldn’t put it past these savages down there in that hell hole country to kill this man. they have done it over and over again.

“OR” is a good question.

And suppose they CAN’T find him?

There is something here I don’t get.

Why doesn’t Texas or the U.S. simply look for the body?

How deep is the lake? If its deep enough, the body may never surface. Deep cold water prevents bacterial action and so the body stays down there.

*In the old days they would have sent in the Texas Rangers and that would have been the end of it.*

Maybe it's time for Texas to secede. A few other states are ready to.

Their population would increase with people fleeing the oppressive Obamacare laws and the threat of Cap n’ Trade.
The rest of the remaining states would see how well the economy is doing and we could rejoin as the USA without the traitors in Washington and without the UN and the EPA.

I think THAT would be a good plan!

Not sure what any US authority could have done since I think this couple was well into Mexico around the Old Guerrero area. If so they were well beyond the international boundary.

Or what? Texas will declare war?

They damn well should. National Guards are in the command of the state governor unless the president calls them up.

There was one on the US side at Falcon Estates that helped her when she got to land and supposedly he claims to have seen a boat chasing her back to the US side.

Unfortunately they're in St. Petersburg, Florida right now. ;)

I’m sure you heard this one before, but it is always worth repeating for those not from Texas:

There was a riot in a major Texas city. The city had committed its entire public safety personnel yet the riot was growing. The mayor became more alarmed and put in a call for help from the Texas Rangers. A few hours later a Ranger approached the mayor and said the Rangers were there to help. The mayor said, well, where is the rest of your bunch? The Ranger looked at the mayor and back at the burning city and said, I only see one riot here, how many riots you got?....one riot, one ranger!

Why would pirates kill a guy on a jet-ski? Maybe because he was involved in their nefariousness with them?

60 minutes or someone else did a report on this subject just recently. Drug runners are using this lake as a wide open border crossing point. And they have snipers staked out who won't hesitate to take out anyone that gets too close.

The state militia could seal the border to protect the safety of American citizens, at least until Great Leader stepped in.

You know, it’s not that easy to get a headshot in on a fast moving target over a body of water. I think you’re on to something. If the bad guys were able to do this, they were probably close to her position, close enough to shoot her, too. It is weird, that much is true.

Both of which President Cabron will use to wipe his backside.
