This is another excellent development. I hope that the grass roots who supported Scott Brown are watching this race and Sean Bielat’s against Barney Frank.
This guy Jeff Perry just bashed Sarah Palin in public the other day, after having been on the same stage with her at a Tea Party rally back in April of this year. He said (publicly) that he didn’t want her endorsement.
More recently, he’s drawn closer to Mitt Romney, who has endorsed him and contributed to his campaign. There’s a recent photo of them on stage together around here somewhere.
“Young gun” getting a ringing endorsement from the Republican party establishment, huh? Smells like RINO dung to me.
Massachusetts Minutemen Ping!
I hope that the GOP does WELL throughout Massachusetts, with the MAJORITY of political races, at every political level, but I’m not holding my breath. Way too many Massachusetts voters continue to be “stuck on socialism”, and it’s, profoundly, frustrating!
I don’t think that Sarah has been endorsing many - if any - of the NRCC establishment candidates. Not knocking this guy Jeff Perry at all.
What I’m saying is that, if you look at it from a political point of view, I think you are seeing a battle for the soul of the GOP. The NRCC is on one end, and Sarah Palin is on another.
I’m all for as many republicans winning as possible, although I prefer conservatives. The primaries are over. Go Joe. I think Sarah Palin not endorsing him was strategic, by both parties. After all, he chose the NRCC endorsement, and so far, that seems to be working for him.
The bottom line is political payback. If he owes his payback to the NRCC, then he can’t give it to Sarah Palin, and vice versa. These endorsements now are about 2012. Like it or not, it is what it is.
Yes, the MA-10 has been won by GOP presidential candidates, but not since 1988.
It’s the least Democrat CD in MA, and I’m confident thay Perry will win (he certainly scared Delahunt into retirement), but let’s not fool ourselves into believing that it’s more Republican than it is.
Michael Grimm will un-seat Democrat Mike McMahon in the 13th NY and become the only conservative from New York City. Not naming him as a Young Gun was a mistake and an insult to us.
