Obama Endorses Global Taxes on Eve of U.N. Summit

In a classic case of misdirection, while the media are preoccupied with the fate of the Bush tax cuts, President Obama is preparing to attend a United Nations summit next week to endorse “innovative finance mechanisms”—global taxes—to drain even more wealth out of the U.S. economy.

A draft “outcome document” produced in advance of the September 20-22 U.N. Summit on the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) commits the nations of the world to supporting “innovative financing mechanisms” to supplement foreign aid spending.

The term “innovative financing mechanisms” is a U.N. euphemism for global taxes. But the document actually goes further, praising the “Task Force on International Financial Transactions for Development” for its work on the subject of mobilizing additional “resources” for countries to achieve the MDGs. This is a body tasked with proposing and implementing global tax schemes.

“We consider,” the document says, “that innovative financing mechanisms can make a positive contribution in assisting developing countries to mobilize additional resources for financing for development on a voluntary basis. Such financing should supplement and not be a substitute for traditional sources of financing.”

In other words, the revenue from global taxes should be in addition to foreign aid spending.

The document recognized the “considerable progress” made in this area, an acknowledgement that an international tax by some nations on airline tickets is already in effect and producing several billions of dollars of revenue for world organizations to fight AIDS and other diseases.

In an article in The Christian Science Monitor, under the headline, “Small global taxes would make a big difference for world’s ‘bottom billion,’” the foreign minister of France and other officials of foreign nations endorse various forms of “innovative development financing.” One of their proposals is a tax on international currency transactions that could generate $35 billion a year.

The proposal, popular at the United Nations for decades and long-advocated by Fidel Castro, is called the Tobin Tax and named after Yale University economist James Tobin. Steven Solomon, a former staff reporter at Forbes, said in his book, The Confidence Game, that such a proposal “might net some $13 trillion a year…” because it is based on taking a percentage of money from the trillions of dollars exchanged daily in global financial markets.

He is referring to the fact that once such a tax is in place, it could be easily raised to bring in hundreds of billions of dollars or more a year to the U.N. and other global institutions.

Such financial transactions through banks and other financial institutions are commonplace on behalf of Americans who have stock in mutual funds or companies that invest or operate overseas. Hence, such a global tax could affect the stocks, mutual funds, and pensions of ordinary Americans.

The term “small global taxes” brought a stunned reaction from Senator David Vitter, when he was told of what is being proposed in advance of the U.N. summit. Vitter introduced Senate resolution 461, “Expressing the sense of the Senate that Congress should reject any proposal for the creation of a system of global taxation and regulation,” to put the Senate on record against any such measure. He has vowed to maintain pressure on the world body to avoid implementing any of these schemes and thinks that the Congress has to use whatever financial leverage it has to frustrate U.N. demands for more power and authority in world affairs.

The Vitter resolution was sent to the liberal-controlled Senate Finance Committee, which declined to act on it.

Obama has been a major U.N. supporter since he was in the Senate and sponsored a bill, the Global Poverty Act (S 2433), to force U.S. compliance with the MDGs. Joseph Biden, then chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, tried to get it passed into law but ultimately failed.

As President, Obama is in a position to actively promote global taxation measures and clearly has done so. The “outcome document” his administration has already endorsed will be formally approved at next week’s summit.

The document affirms the so-called “Monterrey Consensus” that committed nations to spending 0.7 percent of Gross National Product (GNP) on official development assistance (ODA), otherwise known as foreign aid. It says that “The fulfillment of all ODA commitments is crucial, including the commitments by many developed countries to achieve the target of 0.7 percent of gross national product (GNP) for ODA to developing countries by 2015…”

Over a 13-year period, from 2002, when the U.N.’s Financing for Development conference was held, to the target year of 2015, when the U.S. is expected to meet the Millennium Development Goals, this amounts to $845 billion from the U.S. alone, according to Jeffrey Sachs of the U.N.’s Millennium Project.

“We have fully embraced the Millennium Development Goals,” Obama told the U.N. in 2009.

Not if the judges were all threatened by Soros and the Islamists who say they will create a financial panic and destroy the capitalist, free world economy if the judges don’t do as they’re told.

We’re addressing these issues as if we were still a nation under the rule of law. Unless the laws are enforced they don’t exist. The communists have systematically been removing our ability to force the rule of law to be enforced.

Look at all the “moderate democrats” who were willing to follow Pelosi and Reid in walking off the cliff. Why were they willing to do that? The normal deterrent of the voters’ wrath did nothing to stop them. Why not?

I think we need to seriously consider why none of the checks and balances are working like they’re supposed to. What has happened to the foundations?

My bet is that Soros has allied himself with the Islamists, which gives him enough money to do to the world economy what he has spent his lifetime doing with the economies of individual countries. If he has that power he can tell any judge in the world what their decision will be. Like he’s done in America.

Soros has said that he is afraid America will win the “war on terror” because then America and capitalism will be strong, and to Soros those are the chief evils in the world. To me, that says that Soros has aligned himself with the Islamists to try to defeat America and the free world. We know that the Islamists have their own financing that they want to use in order to enslave the entire world under their one-world caliphate.

The Biblical book of Revelation describes the “mark of the beast” - a situation where world finance will be used as a means to extract religious worship out of anybody who wants to buy and sell, and as an excuse to execute anybody who refuses the mark.

George Soros seriously believes that he is God. We are dealing with somebody as nutty as Ahmadinejad and who has aligned himself with folks like Ahmadinejad in order to overthrow America and capitalism. It is the union of the 2 beasts - the political beast (communism) and the religious beast (Islam) to serve the arch-enemy of Christ and His freedom.

That’s the spiritual realm, which I realize makes some people uncomfortable, but we can certainly see in the realm of societal foundations the same thing, and the huge deficits that Obama’s regime is running up ensure that America will always be vulnerable to Soros’ economic games. The media garbage and his Chicago thuggery to threaten anybody who would expose him ensure that there will always be the useful idiots who, together with the dead vote, the military votes thrown out, etc.... will keep the communist-Islamists in power.

Plus, any time he wants Soros can manipulate the markets to create a panic that Obama can use to declare martial law.

I guess what I am saying is that I believe Soros has united with the Islamists, and through the efforts of Obama to break the backs of the American taxpayers beyond what they could ever get out from underneath, he has created a world economy that is constantly on the brink of collapse so that he can always threaten to topple it over the edge with the same kind of manipulation he’s spent his lifetime using to exploit societies.

By having the ability to make good on those threats, he can get people like Dick Cheney, George W Bush, Chief Justice Roberts, Justice Stevens, Justice Alito, Justice Thomas, Judge David Carter, etc..... to say and do whatever he says, regardless of what the law says and regardless of their love for this country and her Constitution, because Soros has taken this nation and Constitution they love so dearly hostage. Those people have all given clues to show that they resist the role they’re being forced to play.

That’s why no court will take up the issue of Obama’s eligibility. That’s why the judges have almost all engaged in unethical behavior and blatantly lawless judicial reasoning in their cases. They’re telling us that they are giving these decisions under duress.

I’m not explaining this very well. I’m sorting things out to do a thoroughly documented post on my reasons for believing as I do. Hopefully it won’t sound so crazy when I can substantiate what I’m suggesting.

One thing I find very interesting, though. I’ve been sprinkling comments here and there about the behaviors of these judges which lead me to believe they’ve been taken hostage - that they’re superficially acting out a part they’ve been threatened into doing but give just enough public jabs that people can see something is not right. Well... on Sept 15th, the European Court (I forget the actual name of it) agreed to take up Soros’ appeal of his 2002 conviction of insider trading in France. Soros made that appeal almost 4 years ago. And all of a sudden, out of the blue, they decide to take it up. It REALLY sounds to me as if Soros suddenly decided it was worth his money to buy off these judges, to get the record of his economic terrorism off the books.

I’m just a peon. I don’t think Soros cares one bit for what I’m saying. But I think he’s beginning to realize that people are making connections - are realizing that Obama has always had one foot in the communist camp and the other in the Islamist camp, and Obama is now the puppet of George Soros and his allies, the Islamists.

America is resisting. This Ground Zero Mosque issue has opened people’s eyes. The cat is out of the bag, and Soros is wanting to cover his tracks now. The media hounds on how crazy the “Obama is a Muslim” and “Obama is a usurper” believers are, but both issues are tied together by one thread that the American people are beginning to feel in their guts as they see the manifestation with their eyes: Obama’s takeover and everything he’s done to destroy the nation since coming to power is a communist-Islamist coup, and it was enabled by the electronic run on the bank in September of 2007 and the threatening power it gave to the communist-Islamists to take over the foundations, the traditional checks and balances and the rule of law.
