Forgive the vanity, but wanted to put a goal/slogan out there. Here's 30 states who have the political base to elect 60 conservative senators, and form a firewall against RINOs and liberals.
1) MT 2) ID 3) NV 4) UT 5) WY 6) CO 7) NM 8) TX 9) OK 10) TN 11) KS 12) NB 13) SD 14) ND 15) AZ 16) MO 17) AR 18) MS 19) LA 20) AL 21) GA 22) SC 23) NC 24) VA 25) WV 26) KY 27) OH 28) IN 29) FL 30) AK
This cycle looks excellent for purging libs and RINOs from the conservative 30, with the unfortunate exception of McCain. And some libs may get retired in the other 20 (WA, MN, CA, etc) with the repubs replacing them a hodgepodge along the scale of conservatives.
With the above 30 states, within a few cycles we should achieve 60 conservative senators and a handful of RINOs, with room to spare. And we may pick up a solid conservative in the other 20 from time to time - eg, Toomey. I think conservatives are feeling empowered with the recent open season on RINO and this trend should hopefully continue in future primaries. No doubt conservatives will feel much more comfortable running against RINO incumbents.
"30 State Project" Catchy?
Very catchy and worth pursuing. Thanks.
BTTT.
This is the way we have to think — long term. The immediate goal has to be to emasculate the liberals and the O. But the long term goal is to get to real conservative candidates in those states that should be electing them but are not. That means reconnaissance and research into the next few cycles to determine who we can pick off and replace with a strong conservative.
You have my home state, TN, on your list. Alexander and Corker are not the type to inspire fluttering hearts among conservatives, but they are still fairly popular in TN and very powerful. I cannot imagine anyone being able to beat one of them in a primary unless one of them votes to support Obamacare or some other ridiculous issue. I think both of them will be more bold about being conservative with the object lessons of Murkowski and Bennett.
I hope Lindsay Graham is challenged in a SC GOP primary his next turn at the polls.
Rob did you copyright your Senate list?
Her we go.
The New Confederacy?
Unfortunately that won't be till 2014. But somebody will challenge him for sure. The folks here in SC are mighty pissed at his antics.
He has been censured by several county GOP organizations including here in my home county of Aiken. The folks here told him to go away and never come back. Link.
New Brunswick? Really? It's beautiful, but so.. so... Canadian.
LOL — meant NE.
I know. I was just hoping somehow we could make it a red state. :^D
Alexander and Corker may not be inspirational but vote the right way don’t they, correct?
I think so. They are both pro-life, pro-business, fiscal conservatives. However, both sometimes go “off the reservation”. I’d take both of them any day of the week compared to Lindsay Graham or John McCain.
