Bethlehem Mayor John Callahan proposed Tuesday an ordinance aimed at speeding up the resolution of discrimination complaints and offering new protections for people who believe they are discriminated against based on sexual orientation or gender identity.

The proposed ordinance calls for forming a seven-to-15-member Human Relations Commission that would enforce those principles when it comes to housing, employment and public accommodations.

The Pennsylvania Human Relations Act already does that for complaints of discrimination based on race, age, religion, ethnicity and disability. But the state has yet to include protections for sexual orientation and gender identity.

These “Human Rights” commissions are a back door way to shut down free speech.

“Human Rights Commissions” are unelected, unaccountable Star Chambers with the power to levy fines and criminal charges.

It was the NM version that forced that photography studio to do the wedding pictures for that lesbo couple a few years back.

It was Provincial Human Rights commissions in Canada that dragged Mark Steyn and MacLean’s magazine into court for the crime of publishing an article offensive to Muslims. As well as jail various pastors and ordinary citizens for offending gays, blacks and injuns.

You want it to become a hangin’ offense to write or say anything that displeases Muzzies, injuns, blacks, gays, feminazis, etc., go get yo’self a “Human Rights Commission”.

“Callahan said the board would comprise volunteers and the city solicitor’s time would be donated.”

And can anyone guess what sort of people these “volunteers” would be drawn from?

In the church bulletin this Sunday:

“On Saturday, September 11 we will provide a FREE seminar to help you learn what Muslims believe and a little about their culture so that you can share your faith with them in a sensitive yet biblical way. Please attend this important time of training so that you can be equipped to share with Muslims whom God has brought right to our doorsteps”
