Even fictional sherriff Andy Taylor is feeling the political heat on Democrats this fall.
The polling firm Public Policy Polling on Wednesday released a poll showing that the Manteo, N.C. resident, who has long endorsed Democratic candidates and causes, is down 25 points in favorability in just two years.
In June of 2008 Griffith, 56 percent of state residents had a favorable opinion of him, versus only 9 percent with an unfavorable one. That's a net 47 point favorability. Fast forward two years, and this week, 44 percent of residents have a favorable view of Griffith, while 22 percent responded unfavorable. That's only a net 22 percent favorable, down from 47 in 2008. Yikes!

And like everyone else who supported the bill, he had no clue what was in it, just repeated lies given to him by his dem masters. Has Griffith always been a commie, even during his Mayberry days?

He had a great show back in the day, but he’s ignorant of the evil that desires to rule the world.

In "real life" Andy Griffith has always been an arrogant snotnosed leftwing a-hole. Many in The Business will vouch for this assessement.
He stumped for obama in 2008 so this latest whoring after the Usurper should have come as no surprise.

I bet I have seen every episode of Andy Griffith show 20 times. It really saddens me to see him make such an azz out of himself.

I can't believe Griffith can't identify a “Lonesome Rhodes” when he sees one.

“The Andy Griffith Show” is an all-time classic. But, Griffith himself is well-known as a cranky, miserable, hard-drinking jerk, who tends to disdain the ‘little people.’ The dozens of anecdotes I’ve heard about him over the years make it tougher and tougher to enjoy the old series.

I thought his portrayal of “Lonesome Rhodes” in “A Face the Crowd” was a bit too well portrayed.
Barring the Andy Griffith Show the man has always creeped me out a bit.
