Washington (AP) - Delaware Republicans call Senate hopeful Christine O'Donnell a liar who "could not be elected dog catcher" in a fierce attack that underscores GOP fears of the tea party-backed candidate knocking off top recruit Rep. Mike Castle and winning the nomination.
Stunned by tea partier Joe Miller's upset of Alaska Sen. Lisa Murkowski, Republicans are taking no chances in Delaware, which holds its primary Sept. 14. The party sees Castle, the state's lone congressman since 1993, as the best candidate for the seat long held by Vice President Joe Biden.
Republicans circulated audio of a testy, 22-minute interview that O'Donnell had with radio station WGMD on Thursday. Party officials also have said she inflated her resume and made flat-out untrue statements while being dogged by questions about tax liens and foreclosures. Castle says she has misrepresented his record.
"She's not a viable candidate for any office in the state of Delaware," state Republicann Party Chairman Tom Ross, who is backing Castle, said in a telephone interview. "She could not be elected dog catcher."
Castle's campaign began running radio ads on Thursday and prepared negative television ads against O'Donnell. The radio ads cite a News Journal of Wilmington, Del., report on O'Donnell's finances and declares her "a financial nightmare."

Fight for your beliefs in the primaries, and then vote the Dem bastards out of office in November whether you like the Repub or not. Democrats cannot be allowed to continue if you value the nation at all!

Not only do the Maine “twins” have value when it comes to voting Majority Leader, they even vote the right way—sometimes. That is more than we could get out of more Democrats. Be grateful for every Republican elected. Boot them out in primaries but after that, it’s too late. ALWAYS VOTE STRAIGHT REPUBLICAN—NO EXCEPTIONS!!

Christine lacks the gravitas to be elected. I dont believe she would have a prayer against Coons. I’d rather have Castle (lifetime ACU rating 52) than a RAT with the potential to establish a lifetime ACU rating in the single digits.
McConnell is sometimes called a RINO by people pursuing a separatist or third-party agenda.
Most of them wouldn't know Conservatism if I were to reach out and knock their heads off the block.
It is quite wasteful and not conducive to debate to give up the meanings of words. That just makes you a GD DemoKKKrat in my book.

You are so right and you didn’t even mention the biggest reason to vote straight Republican and that is to stop Harry Reid and the Democrats. Even a RINO counts just as much toward a majority as the most conservative Republican. First, we must get the majority!!
Please lay out your strategy to get where you want to go. I take it you think we can advance a conservative agenda by allowing Democrats to be elected. I fail to see how that helps us.
I say pick of the RINOs one by one in the primaries but after the primaries, vote straight Republican. That is a solid strategy.

These modern-day Democrats are so bad it would be stupid to just step aside and not try to stop them at every opportunity. Let's worry about getting rid of Democrats before we worry about getting rid of Republican--even if they're not good Republicans. We do not have the luxury of having large enough margins to deliberately allow Democrats to attain offices. Vote straight Republican!!

The Republicans think we have to vote Republican because we are really mad at the Democrats. Therefore, they can run a liberal like Castle as a Republican because, after all, “no one else could win.”
They don’t seem to realize that we are just as mad at the Republican Party as we are at the Democrat Party. The Republican Party says we have to compromise in order to win. How has that worked for them so far? They keep doing the same stupid things and hoping for a different outcome.
