The rally organized by conservative broadcaster Glenn Beck this weekend was a prominent reminder of the disenchantment many Americans feel about Washington—a sentiment that provides both opportunities and pitfalls for the Republican Party.

The size and geographic diversity of the crowd demonstrated the breadth of anti-incumbent feeling. But many of those interviewed at the rally expressed dissatisfaction not only with Democrats but with the traditional Republican leadership too, saying GOP candidates shouldn't take their vote for granted.

We The People have had our belly full of arrogant, corrupt, in-your-face Elitist politicians at every level of government. We intend to start cleaning the sewer starting on November 2nd. We will continue until the gutter has been swept clean of political human waste no matter what party they hide in.

Yes,”We the People” are pretty ticked off. Funny, I didn’t see any anger on Saturday, just hope, faith and love of Country! What alternative universe are these two guys living in?

The “experts” (Gigot, et al) at the Wall Street Journal were on the Fox Journal Report Saturday after the event and conveyed the same smug Journal condescension at the attendees of the rally. It was an arrogant display of elitism and showed just how out of tune the Journal is with the regular people who actually make up this country.

The Journal and the Republican elites still don’t get it. They think they can bend the ignorant rubes in the Tea Party movement and the Beck following to their will.

They don’t realize that if they, the Republicans, are going to succeed, it is they who will have to bend to the will of the ignorant rubes they so disdain.

I was there Saturday and I did not see any signs of anger in the crowd. All I saw was patriotic Americans. Was the author actually there and/or did he watch on C-span, or just blindly write something.
