WASHINGTON — If Democrats had doubts about the voter unrest that threatens to rob them of their majority in Congress, they needed only look from the Capitol this weekend to the opposite end of the National Mall.

It's where Ken Ratliff joined tens of thousands of other anti-government activists at the foot of the Lincoln Memorial for conservative commentator Glenn Beck's "Restoring Honor" rally.

"There's gotta' be a change, man," said Ratliff, a 55-year-old Marine veteran from Rochester, N.Y.

Tens of thousands Oooooooo!

They slip in a lie about the news, the only hard news they can report without opinion, which is the size of the crowd, which was clearly hundreds of thousands. Good catch.

This is the drumbeat of the socialist leaning media. Slip the lie into the story without drawing attention to it. Do that in "tens of thousands" articles and television and radio segments a day and presto . . . a misinformed public.

But not as important as the “packed” football field down the road (where NotSoSharpton spoke).

Sharpton is not liking being 2nd fiddle, or 3rd or 4th. Boo-hoo.

“Anti government activists”?

The media and the left should be ashamed of themselves.

In a just world, Sharpton would be getting out on parole right about now.

The visual image that impressed me was the HUNDREDS of thousands who sacrificed to make this trip up against that clown riding around Martha’s Vinyard on a bike. He looked like a cross between PeeWee and Urkle.

I do think these contrasting images are playing in many American’s minds and I pray that the Nov. election will be a nuclear event!

I was there and I can say there were at least 400k but I would believe more. There were about 100k of us who had to stop about 1/4 mile the stage because we couldn’t get closer. The Washington monument had about 50k around it alone. The level of intensity is very high and the Democrats are in big trouble. This event showed that the senate is very doable.

Anti-government, huh? Anti-big government. They are trying to slur the real action here and they always like to use terms that will make people think of Timothy McVeigh, or someone like that! The left will never let up on bigotry, hate, lying, etc.

In a just world, the likes of Sharpton and J. Jackson would never have risen to any sort of popular or important position, rather each of them selling used cars in Des Moins, Iowa...sorry Des Moins...

You are right. The Senate is doable but we’re going to need more unity. More of a sense of common purpose across the entire conservative spectrum.

NBC Nightly estimated the crowd at 500,000.
CBS called it 87,000.

In my area, a group rented a bus, drove through the night and came home the same day. That’s intensity.
