Tens of thousands Oooooooo!

They slip in a lie about the news, the only hard news they can report without opinion, which is the size of the crowd, which was clearly hundreds of thousands. Good catch.

This is the drumbeat of the socialist leaning media. Slip the lie into the story without drawing attention to it. Do that in "tens of thousands" articles and television and radio segments a day and presto . . . a misinformed public.

The visual image that impressed me was the HUNDREDS of thousands who sacrificed to make this trip up against that clown riding around Martha’s Vinyard on a bike. He looked like a cross between PeeWee and Urkle.

I do think these contrasting images are playing in many American’s minds and I pray that the Nov. election will be a nuclear event!

“They slip in a lie about the news, the only hard news they can report without opinion, which is the size of the crowd, which was clearly hundreds of thousands.”

What’s disturbing and clever about this is that no one can claim they explicitly lied: the crowd did measure tens of thousands: about 50 tens of thousands according to even NBC!
But the reporters who resorted to this misleading formulation surely also knew that the average reader would make an inference from this formulation that the crowd must have been below 100,000. So if pressed, I’m sure these reporters would have claimed they can’t be responsible for the erroneous inferences of their readership—even though it’s pretty clear they expected their ignorant readers to do exactly that.

I beg to differ, November.
We just got back from the Rally, Two large vans were rented out for what started out as 16, turned out at 12 in two rental vans. Left Friday night about 6:00pm, Got into a traffic jam from hell at the metro park and ride in Washington. The lines going in were literally going around the block and up the street, and cars were parking on both sides of the street for blocks in all directions. We finally got to the Smithsonian stop were we walked out to the mall. The Martin Luther King event was right in front of us. they were broadcasting Martin Luther Kings speech from what looked like a large tapestry I;m guessing this was Mr Sharptons? not many people hanging around this area, just walking straight for the rally. Right before we went in to the entrance, (he had a banner going over the side walk,) there was a guy with a bull horn harassing every on he could saying he was ashamed that you folks are going in there, all he got back was God Bless you man, I loved it! just before we got in, we could just hear the end of Avda? King,s speech. She was the main reason I wanted to go.

When we we got up towards the Washington monument the real crowds began. found a place where a couple of our more elderly ladys could set up there chairs and a base camp of sorts. My wife and an other great patriot lady went to see how far we could make it in. There were patchy but solid seas of people from the Washington Memorial to the World War 2 memorial. When we got to the World War II Memorial, the wall of people started. We went through the memorial, and people were standing on top of all the forward facing walls.we waided in. toward the reflecting pool. it was rough going from there still slight movement in the crowd, but very slow. porta pottys lined up the side walk behind the reflecting pool, we could see the reflecting pool, but just barely, but you could see the other side of the reflecting pool, solid mass of people, a police scissor lift at the edge looking out over the crowd, lots of police in barricaded isle going down to the pool. that slowed down traffic and made little stationary islands in places. and the jumbo trons set up at the edge of the pond. We finaly got to where we could see the stage directly, but no one was moving any further from there. got to see Glen preechin to the choir! Literally, as he got to the point of introducing the Black Robed Brigade. they all came out, came up on stage with him, 240 pastors, preachers, and Clergymen of many different faiths, saying the one thing we can all agree on, is to seek your answers from God. Told the story of the author of amazing grace saying it was a perfect song for the bag pipes, that he was a slave ship owner who became reborn. and led the fight with the abolitionists. The Bagpipes then came in, and after marching in and joining the Brigade with amazing Grace, it broke out with singing and every one I could here around me in the crowd, you could here the echoes from behind us, just sent a chill down my spine. It was totaly moving when were returning back to the metro later that day, heard some one told him (ya ya, I know) park service was reporting 1.9 million. but I gotta tell you this, i went last 9/12, and I would have put that one at 1.5 to 1.7 million. This one was easily double last year.

Sorry if this is rambling, but I quite literally haven’t slept for more than about 4 hours since Friday morning at 3:00 am
