I never tire of this phrase: “She’s living rent-free in Obama’s head!”

LOL. I agree. (And she does!)

Because it's all about planting a flag. They are using our own laws and useful idiots to make it a reality. The economic apocolypse is coming soon, and when it does, these people will think they have won. They will not. If all falls or fails, and the law does not exist to protect them from reality, they will find themselves surrounded by men that will nail their heads to trees.

I've got a few kegs of nails.

Mr. President, why aren't you encouraging the mosque developers to accept Governor Paterson's generous offer of assistance in finding a new location for the mosque on state land if they move it away from Ground Zero?

No state land to build a mosque, church, or synagogue. Why should we be offering Muslims such special consideration?

There are 23 mosques in NYC. Why build one two blocks from Ground Zero? Where is the money coming from and exactly who is behind it? What is their objective? Convenience for their many worshipers? How many live or work nearby? Or are they making a political statement by their in-your-face desire to build it regardless of the oppostion of the vast majority of New Yorkers and Americans? Isn't this a provocation?

You don't need to go to a mosque to pray five times a day. Friday is the day that you normally go to the mosque.

#2- How far the the mosque free zone extend? Two blocks? Five blocks? Canal Street? Beyond normal zoning regulations do conservatives want the government dictating where religious institutions can be built.

Phony strawman. No one is disputing their right to do it. The question is whether it is the right thing to do.

You really want the government deciding where religious buildings should be constructed? That’s not conservatism.

BS. Stop mistating the issue. No one is stopping them from building the mosque. FYI: We do have zoning laws, building codes, setbacks, etc. The government is intimately involved in the construction and use of buildings regardless of whether they are religious or not.

Here’s what this mosque will do. It will attract moslems tourists. It will turn the neighborhood into moslems businesses ansd residents. There will be terrorists living in the area. It will be asymbol of islamic encroachment in the US.

If you go to Nazareth, you probably park down the busy street and walk to Joseph's home. Nazareth is predominantly an Arab city inside of Israel. As you turn off the main street to head the 2 blocks up to the house, there is a giant billboard over what seems to be an apartment building. The biilboard says something like: Unless you accept Allah you will die cursed. I can't remember the exact words.

This is what needs to happen now around the site of the mosque only with Jewish and Christian messages.

Given the controversy over its construction, there is no doubt that it will be a symbolic presence regardless of which side you are on. Having lived a total of nine years in three Islamic countries, there will be a certain feeling of triumphalism associated with its location. It took the Islamic terrorists two tries to take down the twin towers. They succeeded and the planned mosque is proof of it.

The mosque will be built before the twin towers are replaced.

That’s not conservatism.

Are you on the right forum? Christian churches are denied permits to build on a regular basis.

Islam is not just a religion, it is a government system ruled by religion.

I was a member of the NYPD on 9/11 and worked at Ground Zero. We lost 23 people several of which I knew personally.
#1- The site is not being built AT Ground Zero. It’s two blocks north of the outer perimeter of the WTC complex. It would be inappropriate to build a religious structure devoted to only one religion at the site since people from a multitude of religions were murdered. I think it would be particularly inappropriate to build an Islamic house of worship on the site itself but aas I stated that’s not the case.

#2- How far the the mosque free zone extend? Two blocks? Five blocks? Canal Street? Beyond normal zoning regulations do conservatives want the government dictating where religious institutions can be built.

#3- You want to go to a house of worship on your lunch hour. The Christian can go to St. Peters or Trinity Church. There’s Wall St. Synagogue. What do you tell a Muslim of which there are quite are few working in Lower Manhattan? This is a mosque free zone???
In America?

Yea, I know about Saudi Arabia and their proscriptions against other religions. The Islamic fascists in Saudi Arabia are a standard of conduct for our country???

You don’t beat them by becoming like them.

You really want the government deciding where religious buildings should be constructed?
That’s not conservatism.

Sorry, I don’t believe you are who you say you are.
